This was such a fun pattern to make. I have substituted loops and thread Facets yarn from Michaels and it turned out beautiful. However I did make the adult size and ended up having to rip out the ribbing as the beanie fit was too tight ( I used the smaller hook as directed in the video). I'm going to redo the ribbing with the 5.0 hook and increase the starting ribbing chain from 21 to 28. After these tweaks it should fit perfectly. Thank you for this amazing pattern!

Love this hat! Unfortunately my seems to come out flat and too big, I went down half a hook size and still the same and then I went down a hook size and seemed too small but still kinda flat, and no shape to it. Can you suggest a thicker yarn maybe or different hook size ? Thanks
