Man, I’m surprised you never got yourself an MJX X400. That’s was a fun one! Brushed motors, but fun to fly. Especially deviated. If you ever see one cheap, get to. Left original in place. Took 5 minutes-- 2 solder joints to internal power cables, pop the top on! Depending on what is charged-- fly either one, back and forth. You lean to the 3S-- cause it MOVES!

I made the FPV system for the X8 so everything is mounted to the anti vib mount and it easily detaches. That would work great with this quad as it it super low profile one could also low ride mod the landing legs.

u can use hubsan h501 spare props. gold on front and black in back. And 2700mah battery h501 but not the 10c. ebay has 30c. it will fit.

The GPS enabled Bugs 5W (new version) has a motor with no post, just a screw hole on each side, that requires propellers with two screw holes. But those propellers are unavailable!!! Disappointing they used a motor without planning ahead to provide the proprietary propellers.

I deliberated for days between it and the Phantom, and choose the 500 because it has turtle mode...kinda like me, and I've heard better reviews of the customer service by Yuneec compared to DJI. MJX will soon release a camera module that will fit in the nose of the quad. The front headlight is removable and there will be 3 different cameras from the factory. Tomtop has it but it's a pre sale not to ship until 2/14/17. Banngood also has it for a few pennies cheaper but..... nothing on hand and no ship dates. I did the red and pre order. I love the fact that it can handle the 3s up grade. The videos on that show it has crazy power but not tuned for it but still goes like a bat out a hell.

xk 252 vs bugs 3 trying to decide which one to get

...hmmm! that's a tough one to answer. I guess it depends on features and if you're into acro flying. The Bugs3 is a little bigger than the x252, it can't fly inverted, and doesn't have 5.8ghz FPV (yet) but future parts will be easy to add on. They are both sporty as hell, but I'd say get the Bugs3 simply for the "bang for buck!" You cannot beat this value at the current time. My favorite thing about the Bugs3 is the short or tall landing gear, to go from camera bird to sport flyer... the x252 must maintain it's low profile unless you do modifications! Tough choice buddy, good luck (or just get them both, hehehe!!!) DJ SOUL FORCE

I'll take a look at that Voyager video. What I meant was brushless motor quads with AH don't flip... I could be wrong though. I paid about 137.00 for mine so I don't know if they are going to drop the price or not but for me it has more power than the Syma X8's. It maneuvers close to the same, it does not bank as good but i think that that is because of the brush less motors. The only other changes that I see them possibly making is adding GPS and then it becomes a different quad. I paid this much for my X8HG and it is not as powerful as this one is, so I will let you be the judge of that if you get one.

DJ SOUL FORCE I have 7 quads total now. 1 micro one i fly indoors with my kids (frys special don't remember the brand) 1 Syma X5C (This one started the addiction and I still fly it to this day), 1 Syma X8C, 1 XK380, 2 XK 500's and a Bugs 3 on the way. Considering adding a Mavic to the fleet but kinda waiting on the early adopters to shake the bugs out of it. You have a great year too buddy!

DJ SOUL FORCE Got my red one today. WOW! I took her(him) out for a quick spin at night. Flys like a dream. I need to get me a xt30 pigtail for my aftermarket balance charger. Not to sure how good a job of balance charging the stock charger does (not sure when its actually charged too, does the light extinguish? Turn green?). Again great review and super recommendation. I've seen other reviews that show the canopy secured with screws, not clips. I've also seen wide variety of flight times. It would appear that MJX has already started to mix things up. Looks like you got a winner. Mine is still in China somewhere :( When XK released their 251 model, they also mixed things up. First buyers got a quad with 3D option and CF landing gear. Shortly after, all models were 6G only with plastic gear. Hey man, thanks for making me feel good about my purchase. I can hardly wait till it arrives. Hope the weather is good!

alver quiambao this is the best buy for size and fun for under 100, but if you don't have much money there is cheaper smaller ones to buy. have a look at the elfie foldable drone with camera size of a mobile phone flys about 200 feet and it's supper cool for only $41 under 50 and you can practice take it any where and record and take pictures and the remote is your mobile phone please check it out you will love it.

Sweet quade I've had minne for four weeks smothe and is a BA drone did a range test to day I lost sight of it well past when it beeped at me to tell me it was out of range more than 500 meters watch it though cause it drops out of the sky when you lose range all in all sweet hopefully can get some fpv forage soon

If you haven't already, and I am NOT a paid shill for them, Gearbest has their "eMail only" price for the MJX Bugs 3 (Black color) for $86.99US. I got my red Bugs 3 for $84.99 from them off their email price 3 weeks ago. So if you haven't already, I'd sign up for their emails. I've never had a problem with them screwing up a shipment and have often been surprised at their prompt delivery. Keep the shiney side up and the pointy end forward.

Aron. I've seen the prices fluctuate A LOT the last month or so, from a high of $120 down to the price I listed above. Go to www.gearbest.com and create your account. Then, somewhere in the signup and/or login process they'll ask if you want to be signed up for their "promotions". Once you agree to that, you'll get emails every few days with price offers for their products. It's just a matter of waiting till they'll offer the Bugs 3 at a discounted price, usually every few weeks. Then you click on the email link that takes you to their web site page with the discounted price. I've signed up for newsletters with them, Banggood, Lightake, and TomTop. All of them will do email price discounts, though sometimes the discounted price isn't all that great. You DO need to watch out on Lightake that they don't hit you with an outrageous "shipping" charge on the last page of the order process that wipes out any discount. I've never had that problem with Gearbest.

I have seen a few guys that did it, then complained about the wobble, shakes or strange sounds, etc., so I may pass on that one and start looking for some compatable 2s batteries that may fit. (like some of the Hubsan batteries) Did you get one of these birds (Bugs 3)???
