@@modz82 I’m already well into the 2 door conversion,all the old 4 door structures have gone,tech screwed the inner and outer 2 door quarters in place and I’m really happy with panel gaps etc,just need to pull all the panels off,do some minor repairs the weld everything in place

Let the dvla decide its fate Sam. Apply for the 2dr conversion. If you get it, mex. If you dont.. zakspeed

Zakspeed is really cool. I don't know if I've seen one with a Zakspeed kit on it, I saw hundreds with farely standard arches and body shells. But Zakspeed kit on it would be really cool to see.

Zak speed sounds good. There was one for sale for ages with a Honda lump in it. Could you put a person number plate on it to avoid the dreaded Q plate?

Hi mate, good backstory and its always the case of letting cars go that you really dont want too!..............If it was me i'd go the 'whole hog' and do the Zakspeed tribute, especially as the DVLA will q it no matter what, so go all out on it, as nice as the Mexico's are, (and rare), a Zakspeed kitted MK2 is even rarer i suppose! (standard is boring) ..life's to short mate! 🙂, go for it.
