The Case has problems as announced by HTC. If you fold the case all the way to the back, the phone turns on as if recognizes the case being used on the front. Basically if the case comes in contact with the front or rear of the phone then the phone turns on. They took it off the shelves and its not going to be available until they fix it.

I bought the gun metal grey version in the UK and I got a free case in the box. BONUS!. It's a good phone however coming from a note 3 I'm used to having amazing battery life. This is meh but it's worth it for the metal phone and those speakers. Can't wait for your full review. Love your vids man!

Honestly it depends on what you are looking for in a smart phone. Build quality and feel The htc one is stunning in person and feel a lot better in the hand than the s5. The s5 grippy back is ok but nothing like aluminium. Either way though your probably gonna use a case. So it's up to you. However the s5 does have an edge because of its removable battery and user replaceable backs. Audio HTC ONE M8 speakers are just amazing. Even better than my iPad airs which are great too. The s5 speaker is very small and on the back of the phone. Also because of the water resistance I've heard that it hinders the sound quality of the s5 speakers slightly. But go to a store and try it out for yourself. Audio though headphones I am using ATH-M50X Headphones and the sound quality when plugged into each 3.5mm jack is allot better from the htc one. It's louder, clearer and has more punch. The s605 like the note 3 before it has very quiet output even with adapt sound. BOOMSOUND on htc one can be a little overpowering though so I leave it off. It saves battery life too. Software Htc sense 6 is as feature packed as samsung touch wiz but it's lighter, uses less RAM and is generally snappier. I hate touch wiz it's too heavy and slows down the phone. It's too cartoony looking. Processor They are both running the snapdragon 801 htc clocked at 2.3 ghz and the s5 clocked at 2.5 ghz however touch wiz is a heavier UI so it needs the extra .2 ghz. The htc one is still the quicker snappier device. Camera I haven't seen the s5 camera but the he htc one m8 despite it being only 4 megapixels has a pretty great camera however the s5s will most likely be better but filled with more pointless modes you will never use. The front facing 5 megapixel cam of the htc one is stellar though! Controls htc one uses on screen controls which I prefer however they take up about 0.2 inches of the screen so really you are left with like 4.8 inch screen to play around with. Plus the black bar beneath that screen that houses the HTC logo makes the screen taller and harder to reach. It shouldn't have been brought back. The s5 uses a physical home button with 2 capacitive keys and the home button is a fingerprint scanner. Not as good implemented as apples though. You would honestly be faster just swiping the lock screen. It's just for show. The way I see it the s5 is a plastic phone with very gimmicky features and the htc one is the better built and better feeling phone with amazing speakers and a great front facing camera. That's why I chose to go with HTC ONE M8. Hope this helped.

Yeah well the quality of the music you will hear through the headphones is much better with the HTC one. Its very quiet and not as clear on Samsung's. Must be the audio algorithm they use.

People love this cover, all colors are completely sold out on the HTC site, other stores I'm sure can obviously be searched. I'm thinking of getting this case in green for pleasure and on the says I do my job outside, I'll use an otterbox defender case. If you design your case at the otterbox site and have one of the gray models of HTC m8..gray rubber back with the green inner shell looks fantastic!

Back when I was using Android I had the HTC One M8 and I had this dot case and I LOVED it. Definitely ahead of its time and was actually useful to have. Although the charging port on the M8 was not ideal because it was a micro USB charger and was prone to charging issues. I eventually switched back to the iPhone 6 because I was sick of charging issues but that phone was pretty awesome. Crazy to think that was about 5-6 years ago 😬

Michał Błach Yeah, on ebay. You can find a lot of good phone cases on there, which won't run for $50+. There was no way I would ever spend $50 on the Dot Case. Good thing i got the $7 case also, it's really bad. Not the looks but just how it is. It might just be me, but it gets annoying having to open that case and hold onto it while texting, or when you're in bed and you want to use your phone to watch videos or text, you have to take it out of the case. Bc again, watching videos with the dot case is literally, impossible. lol
