As I was watching this, nodding my head have to agree with everything you said, they are timeless, stupid reliable, easy to work on.... oh man I love seeing these cars. I bother so many old people who drive these that I see at church, work, grocery store, such great cars and EVERYBODY loves their CB7. I feel like the CB7 is one of the few older classic Hondas you can buy secondhand and still find stock/great shape.

This was the last world Accord (before they split off the North American and Japanese versions) and the last generation with distinctive styling, before it became a generic blob with an H on the grille. (And more recently, a big gaudy mess with ugly angles everywhere and huge heaps of chrome.)

I'm taking on a challenge of changing my auto cb7 to manual soon. And Like he stated, "that timeless look" is my favorite of all the hondas ever produced. I guees I'm a part of the new generation, you coud say, But I enjoy every single thing from these 21 year old cars. They're amazing! 👍

ogsmokey187 What year are yours? I used to have a '93 sedan that my best friend now drives. Well over 260k and still going strong! These things are bound to become future classics, they're hard to find even today unmolested. Good luck on your manual swap and thanks for watching!

mkm230 really late reply. But i have a 93 coupe. (I was so lucky to get it as clean as it was. It was bone stock like yours in the video, unmolested) and i bought a 91 coupe in pretty rough shape. The engine was knocking real bad so that's where my transmission swap is coming from. I love my cb7 so much that i plan to preserve it and have it as a weekend car in the near future. I don't post videos much on KZbin. But i do alot on instagram. If you have one you can check out my cb7 and follow me if you'd like! Username: martindjnandez1

To add, they are a reminder of simplicity and are very humble. Not to mention, they are easy to work on. Thinking about getting a 1992 accord... what do you think?
@Scientists_dont_lie5 жыл бұрын
I bought one one month ago. A 1992 accord EX-R 4 door. Loaded. Leather psteer pwrwind pmirr psunroof, ABS, cruise, classic turquoise. Automatic Leather still in good shape. Will look Excellent after a good cleaning shampoo etc. Rust on the rear wheel wells. Other than that the body is excellent. 164,000km that's about 100,000miles I bought the cAr for $990 Canadian . Put another thousand to fix basically every mechanical issue. Even before I put the thousand into the car, the cAr was leaking oil BAD. Spark plugs soaked in oil, valve cover gasket crap oil everywhere. But regardless the car ran decent! The car drives amazing now IMO. Steering is easy and smooth but doesn't feel floaty like an American car. The dash board is so low it makes your veiw of the road easier than most cars nowadays. The dash is so low that when I let my father drive it he thought the car was lowered! The driver vision is excellent in this car. I loved the car when had MANY mechanical problems. Now it's even better. I will never sell it. I don't think you can get a new car to give the same driving sensation this car has. I got a CRV, a modified ef9(you can see it on my avatar) and now the CB7. This car is great, get one I want a legend next. 2nd gen four-door

Did you get it? I recently picked up a 92 and, in all honesty, I pretty much hate it with every cell in my body. As with all Japanese cars I've owned and driven, it mainly seems to be luck that determines the end result. Yes, it is light, yes it's very fun to drive, and in all seriousness, really goes for just 130hp. Can aside be quite a looker and as we know, extremely reliable. But then comes the interior, which is where you actually spend your time. Where you should feel good, no matter the shell. I mean, it is well equipped, with heated seats, heated electric mirrors and antenna. But it also lack basic features like adjustable wiper interval, a front ceiling light (seriously, my 70's Toyota has this), electrically sliding seat despite electrical inclining, etc. The fifty shades of grey dashboard is actually *passenger* oriented for some unimaginably weird reason, which is the first time I've seen in a car; and the wind noise is absolutely horrendous. I'm telling you, I've owned 15+ cars and loved them all. This however, although acceptable as a town car, gives genuine depression during longer trips. It's like an invincible Hyundai.

Half of the stuff didn’t work like the 2 driver side windows, the A/C, it was missing the passenger corner light, and the rear driver window was taped because it was down about an inch and I couldn’t get it back up. The steering is light at low speeds and heavy at high speeds, not the other way around. That's how steering assist is made to be. And retro fitting R134 doesn't make a person an idiot, especially if the original R12 had leaked out or there was an issue with the system. My Accord's AC is fine with R134. I have another car with R12 and the the difference is negligible.
@horseathalt73084 жыл бұрын
I think he meant the old owners put r134 in a non modified old r12 system you cannot do it and have that function correctly. 134 is a smaller molacule and it will quickly leak out without modified seals.

@@horseathalt7308 Not just the seals, but it will leak right through the hose wall, r134 systems have 'barrier' hoses that are plastic-lined. Another reason the hate r134, you have to have new hoses made, you can't just order them for and older car.
