The AMS carbon wind deflectors ran me $200 but well worth it. I did 13mm spacers all around in case I ever want to put 285’s in the rear. I still want to do the steering wheel and shift paddles. All I’m waiting for is for the ECU to be cracked so I can consider modding my 2022 supra for extra power. The supra satisfies every day… just need a bit more power now. I got spanked bad by an E85 Camaro ZL1. I knew I couldn’t do anything within his realm of performance (nor will I ever) but I entertained him nonetheless.

I'll have the next video out next week, then I'll be working on some of the clean up work I want to do to the car. Still waiting to get it in the shop to fix the hood and grill.

I traded in my 2020 for a 2023, I love it. Nice changes to stock handling and power.

What changes did they make between 2020 and 2023? And do you actually feel them?
@SlickSniper3
@SlickSniper3 Жыл бұрын
@LavshBeatsTMlavishbeats they increased stock power to 380+ hp, changed exhaust manifold from 2 port to a traditional 6 port, lower compression, and higher boost parameter. Then, for 2023, they further improved steering and suspension components while adjusting rear diff and braking. They also changed traction control calibration with some new hair pin and anti roll program. All together, it makes for a noticeable difference in raw feeling. The 2023 feels more old school in the sense that the steering provides much more feedback, and the suspension is more consistent and predictable (especially what the rear multi link is doing). The traction control feels more refined and almost porsche like in that it comes on subtly and less out of the blue. I drove my 2020 extensively both on track and for normal use for 3 nearly 4 years before trading for a 2023. The change is very good and overall the car is better. That's not to say the 2020 was bad, infact it's very impressive how good the 2020 was for being a completely new platform. The 2020 exhaust note did provide a bit more character but sometimes the run off and burbles were a bit juvenile. Overall if you were to put coil overs and completely modify the car, then the 2020 would be fine, but if I were buying a new one and the price difference wasn't much, 2023 is the way to go. Or wait for 2024.

@@SlickSniper3 Thanks for that comprehensive feedback, much appreciated! I am looking at buying one in the next few months but want to make sure that it's worth upgrading to the 2023 model. Steering feel is a big one for me. I know that a lot of people commented on the lack of feel in the 2020-21 models, so I've got high hopes for the 2023 in that department. My only concern is how easy it will be to tune a 2023. I don't really like the idea of shipping out my ECU to Femto for a custom tune... but on the other hand is an OTS JB4 map really going to set my pants on fire!

Has your Supra had any oil consumption issues? Getting the warranty piston replacement on mine now 😢

I had some initially, but they went away over time. Now it's solid. Good luck with your repairs.

May I ask what is the year of your Supra? I have the 2022 3.0 GR Supra without any oil consumption issue. So, I’m curious.

I would do the first one around 5k, then it will really depend on how hard you drive it. The harder you push it, the lower the interval.
