Another thing to know is if you do the overhead, spear it is better to do the enhanced spear because they are safe on block

great video as always, i play ninjutsu scorpion myself and its good to see what his other variations can do you forgot to say that you can make his mix ups safe with the EX spear , its -5 on block, also the slide is -5 on hit which is not good at all and you need to watch out for fast wake ups after the slide, you probably know that but just forgot to mention it cheers mate

Great video ketchup I just think you're overlooking the whole online factor when it comes to blocking the b3 low minion "mixup" The reason I get hit by the low minion a lot is because it's pretty hard to block the over head on reaction online. What I do is block low then high immediately after so I can block both the b3 and the f4. When it comes to offline, your points are totally valid, 25 frames is pretty easily react-able and there is no reason you should get hit by the minion. It's just online that's not really the case in most games. I don't think this is broken or needs to be fixed or anything, I just thought I'd explain why I think so many people get hit by it. They're just trying to block the f4 not the b3 2 f2

+AnantaNow the teleport is +18 on hit, so that are 18 frames you cannot move, you can just block, the low vortex option is 11 frames, that means you have to take it, the overhead is 25 frames, that means you theoretically could armor out but the timing is really strict, you have 7 frames to react

It does, you have to run cancel into the string but it definitely works in 2022.

+Nicholas Schick You may have release check turned on which is giving you a built in shortcut you don't want. Turn off release check in your controls and then see if it works.

+Sean Lee It's viable like once per match. I usually opt to spend that bar on ex spear to make the mixup safe instead. Better use of meter imo.

geez i wanted to start playing scorpion but i can't time anything after teleport. it happens from time to time but im not able to do that consistently. I am not new to the game and I think I can play other characters pretty good but that timing makes me mad. any advices please?

There's a thing called online timing and offline timing lol. So whatever your timing is for your combos when you go into practice mode is diffrent from online. So in reality it's a mental thing online because of the various connections you get.

You dont need a second stun for scorpion on hellfire you can just 21 the run cancel 21 and teleport and no one ever expects that mixup i get 42% with it 1 bar

Hellfire only leaves u +7 on fireball cancel it doesn't have to be respected anymore people can armor out or down 2 you lol. Also the back 3 string ends in overhead so there's no reason in using the high minion. If you use the high minion there's a gap.

@@DrugoTehDinosauro fwd 4 is a really trash move in this game. It's pretty flashy but slow and weak. That's why I prefer ninjutsu but the best variation is inferno for vortex reasons.

i dont really think that scorp has a 50 50.. His overhead combo starter is waaay too slow. You only need to block low and when you see scorp trying to mixup it up(or you see him move) just block low for a moment then block high as the overhead hits a lot slower than low does. Online might be tricky tho

I hate fighting Scorpion, but at the same time I love it. Very predictable so it's usually an easy win. But I hate it because too many people play Scorpion. And the majority aren't even good. Scorpion is a pretty good character though. Gotta love the classics.

He is alright I guess. Most fighters are better when used correctly, that's why you don't see him in tournaments. He's too predictable and weak under pressure and he doesn't really have good pressure like Loa or someone the can armour through your moves. Cassie has a better vortex with spec ops even though it might sound dumb asf. She can almost always guarantee a hit or combo with missles after a knockdown, only problem is her combos are harder and she doesn't have a good combo ender for spec ops.
