Ahmed's ejection (11:00): He 's being guided away by a coach, but can't resist turning back for one more outburst -which sounded to me like the magic word from "Bull Durham". Well, I'm not taking up for the , mostly ex major league baseball announcers, but if you're not showing up the ump, which no one PAID to come see, I tend to agree with the EX PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYERS.
@blacktimhoward43224 жыл бұрын
That point is irrelevant and I'm tired of hearing it. The ump's job is to eject a player if he violates any of a long list of rules. The fact that people paid to see a player has no bearing on an ump's decision, because the rulebook gives it no bearing. If the people are upset they don't get to see the player they paid for, they should be mad at the player for breaking that rule in the first place. If an ump ignores an ejectable offense because people like that player, he is in fact ignoring the job he was hired to do. The 'I want to see X so I deserve to see X' mentality is childish
@billevans65214 жыл бұрын
@@blacktimhoward4322 see you serious? Rules are broken, stretched , and misinterpreted in almost every day of a LONG BASEBALL season. They have discretion on every,on most every decision they make. How is so many baseball announcers don't know that where the ball hits the catchers mitt is irrelevant? The only thing that matters is where the ball crosses the plane of the plate. There are 16 ways, including loading up a ball, that a pitcher can balk. Some are obvious. But the stepping toward first base balk is totally a matter of opinion and that is why, I believe, that you can't question a balk call. The NY gurus want nothing to do with it.

Time to make umpires accountable for their bad calls or dispose of them all together. I would say that $10,000 for each bad call no matter what it was, would be entirely fair. That would put an end to umpires making deals for games. Joe West is a primary example of what is wrong with bad umpires. And lastly, umpires should never be putting their hands on a player, once they do, all bets should be off and players allowed to do the same.

You're just delusional. Fines of any amount for missing calls is ridiculous. There's absolutely zero evidence of games being fixed. Joe West isn't a bad umpire. Umpires putting their hands on players is nothing like players putting their hands on umpires. It's not an equal relationship on the field.

because they takes away any chance for the receipt to be cashed in. the one team rang it up and no one got ejected but now if the other team does they will, it is a give and take game, if you play like shit you will understand that you or one of you teammates will also have to feel a little pain for you.
