Shouldn't Matthews have been called out for abandoning the base? I know in the gregg vs Ortiz fight the inning was ended because a red Sox runner was called out (not ejected) for abandoning the base to take part in that fight

In the Gregg vs Ortiz fight, the ball was in play and an attempted play was made from Adam Jones hence the abandonment call. If the ball was in play, Matthews could have been called out in this clip.

Honestly, I don't feel bad for diaz getting pushed. The umpires shouldn't get involved in brawls. Stand back and take note of the combatants to make accurate ejections.
