Never ever thought I'd see this video. BECAUSE I WAS THERE WHEN I WAS A KID & TOTALLY REMEMBER THIS EVENT!!!!! Season seats (15) rows up from the Dodger Dugout for several years. Fights in the crowds of course when NY was ever in town.

Even though Pedro was a bigger guy, it looked like Pedro was afraid of Cone! Cone even told him, "Come on then!" Totally fearless!

That’s why he won 5 rings and was a Cy Young award winner. You have to have sack. Cone certainly did and pitched that way his entire career. Fearless competitor, and always good in the playoffs.

"It was a breaking ball. Not deliberate" is the stupidest statement in baseball. Pitchers obviously throw breaking balls at batter because there's never any consequences. Want to stay in the game, bean the hitter with a breaking pitch

What? Watch more baseball. No angry pitcher intentionally hits a batter with a breaking ball.

Beating the Mets in the LCS to get there. And one of the victories was against Cone after he popped off in the newspaper. Guerrero was gone from the Dodgers by the end of the season, however. They had traded him to St. Louis for John Tudor.

Lois Simmons unfortunately, yes. I was a Mets fan back then and we owned LA that year in the regular season. The Mets just ran into a hot Hershiser. Cone got blasted his first outing then redeemed himself in Game 6 if I remember. That series was lost when Doc gave up that home run in the 9th to Scioscia

This was the prequel. Before Game 2 of NLCS, Cone writes an article in New York newspaper trash talking the Dodgers. Lasorda makes copies and posts them all over the Dodgers clubhouse (because yeah, no internet). Dodgers respond by scoring 5 runs off him and chasing him in just 2 innings. Then Cone comes back in Game 6 and throws a complete game. Next day Hershiser throws a complete game to win Game 7. Was a great NLCS.

Guerrero didn't duck into the ball, he tried to duck under it and misjudged. He didn't really throw the bat _at_ the pitcher, though he shouldn't have thrown it at all. And he didn't really want to fight because he pulled up midway to the mound. He was just mad because he kept having to dodge baseballs.
