I hate how they keep saying they built from “ground zero” instead of “from the ground up.” “Ground zero” is the epicenter of a destructive disaster, like an earthquake or an explosion, and even used metaphorically, that doesn’t apply to 90% of these ladies. Voluntarily quitting your job and then missing the income does not make your life “ground zero.” I know they probably heard their upline say it and they’re just repeating it, but the repetition is grinding my gears. Using such extreme language for mundane circumstances doesn’t add value to the story; it just devalues the words you’re using.

I know this is nitpicky and it usually wouldn’t bother me so much but I think that the fact that Xtina is such an aggressively obnoxious, condescending hun makes it 100x more annoying for me. But I cannot get past her saying “what bewildered you to do that?”, “right then and then” (instead of right then and there), and “ground zero” (instead of ground level), over and over and over. Like, lady please crack a book. It reminds me of Gabbie Hanna saying “not to toot my own horn, but beep the fcking beep” lol. I would totally let this type of thing slide and probably think it was charming on people who aren’t rotten to the core. I know I’m late to this video! Thanks Julie Jo for another excellent vid ❤️

Wow that blonde woman truly does not have good business sense. Instead of painting the brunette’s early attempts as positive (e.g. “growing” “emerging” “learning”), she rips her to shreds (“failing” “what NOT to do” etc.). Not everyone should be in a leadership position - even in scams!- and this is a great demonstration of why. You always speak positively and then let the interviewee volunteer to cast any negative light on themselves. This very much reminded me of Erin Bies’s story of when JLW discredited her efforts on a large zoom call, saying that the ideas/work efforts presented weren’t created by Erin when in fact they were. The pettiness and backstabbing is typical for dens of thieves, which is exactly what MLMs are. Dens of thieves.

I suffer with cold sores and I feel ya. I always have to carry acyclovir. Some things that help me tremendously though when I get a breakout: lysine!!! The vitamin but also there's a new cream that has lysine in it. Hydrogen peroxide (soaked on a q-tip - several times a day) works great to dry that sucker out, getting rid of it quicker. If you're real desperate....liquid deodorant works the same. I've done that when going to bed and in the morning it's drier than a raisin so it's great.

For what it’s worth, I’m a devout Christian and I can’t stand MLMs. Does being religious make you more prone to believe an MLM pitch? Maybe?? But most of the people I know who are also Christians aren’t falling into these scams. A few do, but not many. I did when I was 21 and getting married and got out pretty quickly. I’m glad my husband (also a Christian) has a good head on his shoulders and helped me see the light 😅
@robinnn777 Жыл бұрын
Maybe depends what type of Christian. Because like definitely mormons are way more susceptible, and I think those in churches that have more cult-like behaviour because it’s the same tactics MLMs use, and use a lot of faith based manipulation as well (god brought me to you so you can have this opportunity type thing). Whereas I feel like more “normal” type Christians maybe it doesn’t apply as much

For them it’s so clear it’s all about what they look like and the appearance of “ wealth” - which we all know what MLM percentages are. May i gently request that the word "Mormonism" not be used when referring to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and/or its members? We no longer use that word or call ourselves "Mormons." Thank you! 😊
@cassandrahulse Жыл бұрын
I loooove your videos ♥️ just want to point out that Mormonism is not a cult. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints actively preaches free thinking, education, loving family and friends (and yourself) no matter their lifestyle, etc. Can people who are “Mormon” be culty? Absolutely. Just like any Christian sect or other religious sect can have culty people or groups. That being said, one wouldn’t say “Christianity is a cult” “Catholicism is a cult.” There can be culty people in those groups but the whole religion isn’t a cult. Please don’t label an entire religion as a cult when it isn’t. Thank you for your videos and keep doing what you’re doing!
@juliejo Жыл бұрын
I think most religion is a cult. Now it depends on the actions of that cult whether it is dangerous or not.
