I was trying the trick by myself while rewatching the tutorial and the card was a 7 of hearts, but at the end, the card was a 2 of clubs. That’s what was in the video as well. Edit: After posting this comment, I was about to shuffle the deck, but before I did that, I was looking through the deck and the 7 of hearts was flip over not the 2 of clubs anymore.... Weird

There is one issue with the trick and it's the first riffle shuffle after placing the face up pile between the face down piles. If the spectator cuts more face up cards in one pile than the pile with the selected card then selected card that should be the first face down card in the deck will be scattered somewhere in the deck. Sorry if this doesn't make sense it was an issue when I was practicing it

I enjoy seeing the odd card trick but I always spoil it by wanting to know how it was done The most satisfying trick I've personally seen was one a coworker of mine did where he sat across the room and had me do all the shuffling and what not with no contact between him and the cards and 20 feet distance between us It's been 15 years and he still won't tell me how it's done but I still remember my damn card was the 4 of clubs

Ah, you reminded me of myself a few years ago when I didn't know any sleight and can only do self working card tricks. Don't worry. There are tons of tricks that does not require any sleight. Search for this KZbinr channel, Mismag822. I'm pretty sure a lot people that learned magic tricks on KZbin is aware of this guy. He is the best. I have to point out that 'roughly three equal piles' is not the same thing as 'three roughly equal piles'. How you say it, it's the number of piles that's 'roughly three' but they must all be equal. What you mean is exactly three piles which should be roughly equal. Liking the trick, though. I believe I know what happened, but it's time to watch the rest of the tutorial to find out (paused at 4:20 to make this comment). Actually, no. This is harder to perform than I thought it would be. You see, I had their card being face down at the OTHER end of the deck, so that when you separate them all you simply stop before you get there; hence it's now the only differently oriented one.
