If you aren't in medicine, you might not know that Esophageal damage is a true emergency. It's way more dangerous than your average MMA injury. Ligaments and bones can break and that's not nearly as likely to kill you. The esophagus is hard to reach, the blood pours into your GI tract, so you can also vomit it into your airway, which is another huge problem that can lead to asphyxiation and pneumonia. The blood can 3rd space and gather in a way that blocks your esophagus or airway, all of this leads to greater risk for retropharyngeal abscess, which is another emergency.

@Flogerz7843 жыл бұрын
He’s doing it again too
@Bakaat7773 жыл бұрын
That's beside the point. Promoters can hype someone, and still blast them later for a bad performance. After losing to Stipe, Dana made the observation that Francis' ego HAD been a mitigating factor, in his lackluster showing against Lewis. That doesn't mean Dana thought Francis wasn't any good any more, but that he simply let his ego bring him down, instead of showcasing his skills against Lewis. We KNOW Francis' skills were still there (see Rozenstruik, JDS, Cain, Blaydes) , but his ego let him down too much... he was afraid of losing again, hence the apprehensive fighting behaviour against Lewis. Fight promoters HAVE to "blow" their fighters, ESPECIALLY if they look and punch like Ngannou. But if they fight like he and Lewis did, promoters pretty much NEED to "apologize" to the fans for the "bad" fights they sometimes have. Putting butts in the seats and money in the bank... that's what it's all about, and if their fighters can't do that, promoters WILL bad mouth them. Since Dana doesn't want Stipe as the champ... he's gonna hype Francis again. If he loses, he'll probably make another excuse for him. Peace.

Not really. Remember an article last year with Vitor discussing it and it mentioned some woman who claimed to have been behind it (in 2007 I think) but she claimed they (were 3 others) had burned her body but police done an extensive search of the area she claimed it happened in and found no body. But Vitor mentioned how he knew of gangs who'd burn bodies and believes she's dead but Vitor's mother believes she's been forced into a sex trafficking ring and is alive somewhere.

the Weidman vs Silva 2 may be the most excited i have ever been for a fight. after that knockout from clowning around and breaking his long reign, i thought Anderson was going to come fricking glowing or something and absolutely annihilate Weidman, but then nothing really happened and it ended with that awful and rather shocking break. and i figured that was it, i fully expected Anderson tor retire after that.

The Lawler vs. Askren stoppage was a completely justified call by the ref imo. I would much rather that a fight gets called slightly too early than risk the chance of a man dying in the ring.
