Nice to see - ssems that - in spite of other experiences - it works ! Thanks Michael! Your MMB-TEAM

nice. can you please tell me where you connected pulse wire in motorcycle wiring
@MacBaerFFM6 жыл бұрын
Gurjinder singh pulse wire goes to the low voltage side of the ignition coil. I’ve used vampire clamps without any problems.

Hi, I wired mine to the low voltage side, but it is showing higher rpm. Mine is twin spark

Hi. I've just purchased MMB Tachometer for my EFI and studing attached mounting instruction.I see you suggest to put both Deep Switches down to OFF position which means 1:2 ratio (1 pulse every second revolution) - tipical for all Bullets that have ignition contacts on the separate shaft with 1:2 ratio to the crankshaft.The EFI model has a signal wheel on the crankshaft - meaning this is tipical double fire system - the spark on the spark plug shows up at every crankshaft revolution - once at the end of compression and once at the end of exhaust. So it looks like the Deep Switches should be set for 1:1 ratio - first from the left ON, second OFF. So, how come it works properly on your EFI with 1:2 setup? Best Regards Jacek

Servus. Wo hast du den Drehzahlmesser angeschlossen ? Licht geht an und schlägt auch am anfang einmal aus. Zeigt nur dann keine Drehzahl. Kann ich das Kabel einfach um das Zündkabel wickeln und gut ist ? Lg
@MacBaerFFM6 жыл бұрын

What about the insurance sir. If I add fuel gauge will my insurance work??
@MacBaerFFM8 жыл бұрын
Well, it will be a bit more dificult to add a fuel gauge becaus that'll need a fuel sensor. However, I see no reason why doing so should affect insurance. Of course, your mileage may vary

Hello sir, that clock you have fixed, where will i get that ?
@MacBaerFFM9 жыл бұрын
+Tushar Sonawane Hi Tushar! Do you mean the analogue clock sitting on the center bearing nut? You will get this in any motorbike aftermarket shop - this is where I got mine here in Germany. The Tachometer is available from MMB pulsatronic GmbH, they will ship overseas.

sir there is any external fuel meter can b fitted into in bike
@MacBaerFFM8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching my video. As of today, I never heard of a fuel meter for the Royal Enfield EFI, neither do I know anyone else who came up with the idea. You're first! :-) Frankly, I daresay it is not so simple. Attaching a meter somewhere is not that big of a task to carry out. However, instead of the simple (and not very reliable) mechanism of the EFI, you would need something that can indicate the amount of fuel, more or less precisely, to be sent to the meter. Finally, such device would need to fit into the tank and would have to be calibrated to the tank's capacity. The low fuel indicator of the Royal Enfield EFI sets off very early before you have to refuel. May I know why you desire a fuel meter? kind regards Michael

I open the filler cap and look inside. It's a manual sight gauge, you can see how much is in there. The low fuel warning is at about 0.75 imp.gallon = 3.5 litres (it seems to vary from one bike to the next). What range is that, maybe 50 miles 80km perhaps, quite a long way We have fuel gauges on a car because we cannot peer inside or slosh it about. A fuel gauge on a bike is just, lazy.

I have been supplied with a resistor and a diode for fitting the MMB tachometer to my EFI-500 Classic (2015). I do not understand the purpose of this. It goes on the power supply to the tacho, between the ignition switch and meter, 150ohm/10W resistor in series, 1N5352B diode across the meter, "Schutzbeschaltung fur Royal Enfield" i.e. "Protective circuit for Royal Enfield". Legend: "Belastbar bis zu einer Uberspannung U=50V" i.e Resilient up to an over voltage U=50V. I can understand what it does but question why when we have a perfectly good regulator. Did you also receive a diode and resistor? Did you use them? The MMB instructions call for connection to the "negative terminal of the coil". Positive pulse, uses green wire. The coil doesn't have a "negative terminal" (I think something is lost in translation). The coil is between ECU pin 18 (IG) "Coil" and pin 1 (IGP). An educated guess makes me believe pin 1 is "earthy" as it is a common return for several components. Which wire did you connect to at the coil? Thank you for this video.
@MacBaerFFM6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeff, regarding the protective diode/resistor: my set came without these and the reason MMB has added this might be customer complaints - who knows probably from pre-unit Bullet riders. I reckon using the protective diode would not harm. Regarding the coil: I removed the fuel tank to get easier access to the coil. You see the thin input wire on the low voltage side. This is where I used a "vampire clamp" to attach a wire to and connect it with the green (positive) input of the tachometer. All other wires of the tachometer have been attached to the harness in the casquette housing. So far, the tachometer has proven to be reliable (despite my regulator passed away some day but not due to this extra device) and the only downside is that the color and brightness of the backlight does not really match the speedometer. :-) Have fun with your new tachometer and your Classic EFI.

Sir can i get this meter in india??
@MacBaerFFM4 жыл бұрын
I'd reccommend to send an inquiry to the maker of this tachometer - they have a contact form in English language: mmb-instrumente.de/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=301&lang=en . International shipping is not uncommon these days, however, custom fees may apply as well as any other local taxes when importing this electronic device to India.

Riders without balls need things like that on an enfield :-)
