This is more gripping, engaging, and entertaining than Rings of Power at (presumably) a fraction of the production costs. 😄 Thank you Trevor!

Having a Lich want to end its existence certainly would be an excellent subversion of expectations. And, would make an interesting story.

Trevor, this is hands down one of the best live plays of *any* RPG, solo or otherwise. The meaningful choices, rich characters, and the great care you take editing deliver such a polished, immersive, and captivating experience! Bravo, and thank you. Super inspiring. Can’t wait to get my hands on the Broken Empires RPG! *Standing ovation!*

What I always find interesting is that Veil is part of an Order whose whole life’s purpose is to put the dead to rest. Yet, she herself can’t let the her dead friend/mentor go to rest. She’s torn between her duties as a member of the Order of the Puritying Flame and her own personal grief. It’s tragic, but also very understandable. Good episode as always! 😁

oh man, the plot just gets thicker and thicker..... so so crazy. Like going to face your high school bully and you find out his victim story and just start feeling sorry for the guy. It would be SO FREAKIN COOL to get Sherylin back, though, after all this time..... I just hope Edbert finds out what happens either way. And whatever the ending will be, it's gonna be crazy :P

You've expressed perfectly the falacy of Veil's line of thought while clouded by her obsession towards Cherilyn. This is an obvious lie by the Lich (or is it?) and she fell for it line, hook and sinker (or is she?). And this episode made me revisit your Lichdom episodes for the umpteenth time for confirmation of the Lich's personality. Looking forward to witness where the dice will take you and Veil next! Great stuff!

Not only have you changed my perspective on solo RPGs (I never understood the appeal or why they became so popular), but I also thoroughly enjoyed watching your online solo sessions to the point where I'm now watching all the seasons in reverse order, currently starting Season 2. Previously, I always got bored watching online sessions and preferred to run/play my own. I also backed your Kickstarter and can't wait for the finished product to run it for my players. It looks like it might be the best d100 fantasy system I’ve found so far. Thanks for broadening my horizons!

Man, it is uncanny how much our design decisions about rpg system align so much. I have been designing a system that hits the exact same notes. I truly aiah you succeeded in completing your project, because I would have the rpg system I always wanted, or something pretty close and all would have to do is pay for it, it is much cheaper than designing it buy yourself, as I know so well. I dont know what I want sooner, the game or the last episode of this wonderful campaign. Good luck in all your endeavors and thx for all your contributions to the community

You know, I think that personality mechanic sent me over the edge on if I was going to back this or not, given that I've never really tried a simulationist system before. I do wonder if circumstances can modify it or not (e.g. if stuff like fatal flaws can modify it beyond the simple number), but... I love it when a character sheet gives me tools for figuring out what my character would do in situations I have zero clue (and, no, 'chaotic good' is way too abstracted to count as such a tool, and the anathemas and edicts that PF2e replaced alignment with recently is too specific)

The fate of the new "Personality Mechanic" hung in the balance. Would a binary result enhance the verisimilitude, or would it shatter the fourth wall 🧱 causing it to be banished to the shadow realm for all time?

Veil is literally so lesbian for that choice. Love that for her.
@MeMyselfandDieRPG4 ай бұрын
Are you under the impression that Veil’s relationship with Cherilyn was sexual?
@MollyGermek4 ай бұрын
It doesn't need to be. It's extremely gay regardless. This is a classic trope in lesbian media. One woman who has sacrificed herself for the greater good to save others has that choice over-ridden by a woman who misses her. Off the top of my head it crops up in all sorts of stuff from Sailor Moon, to Life is Strange to Puela Magi Madoka Magicka.
@MeMyselfandDieRPG4 ай бұрын
Interesting. To me, the theme is far more universal: the need for redemption. It’s a theme that seems to permeate all my various works. Nothing particularly “gay” about seeking redemption, simply “human” :) An interesting observation nonetheless.
