Man I love to watch your reviews, I just have a G29 and I don't think I will ever upgrade because I just wanted something more immersive than a gamepad and I have tons of fun with it but I love to see how more expensive sim hardware is made. Your videos are relaxing cause you explain calmly and you take your time, keep it up 👍

Great review, as always. Love these long-form, informative reviews. I recently purchased the H+SEQ Shifter (i.e., H-Patter and Sequential) and handbrake based on Barry’s separate review of the H+SEQ shifter. His review is spot on and I’m enjoying the product. From my experience, I can add an alternative mounting method for the combo bracket. I used the standard bracket (with countersink mount holes) and sandwiched the combo bracket between the standard bracket and the shifter. The supplied countersink bolts are long enough to go through both brackets with enough thread remaining to solidly engage the shifter. The 4 corner mount holes of the standard bracket remain exposed and available with the combo bracket sandwiched between. I attached the handbrake to the combo bracket (as Barry did) and then attached the entire unit to my profile rig using the standard bracket mount holes (and following the method Barry demonstrated in the H+SEQ shifter review video). Very sturdy and doesn’t have the potential seat interference shown in this video. I checked with MME Motorsport and received confirmation this is the intended mount method for the combo bracket (they may add instructions in the future). While my experience was with the H+SEQ shifter, I suspect the same approach works for the SEQ-only shifter.

@Leo Davidson You're not missing something mate, a LC would be better here as it also is in a brake pedal (measuring pressure rather than travel), it's a strange choice as they cost literally a few pounds which in a £500 (inc VAT and shipping) handbrake is nothing! That price is also a joke IMO, the HE ones are expensive enough at around £270 but at least they offer much more customisation and mounting options, this is just another great example of sim racers having our pants pulled down and getting no value whatsoever :( I also don't like that massive dead zone at the start of travel, this just adds a delay before your input is registered meaning you'd have to pull the HB earlier than if you were using other HB's, another strange choice.

the wiring exiting the shifter doesnt appear to be tug-proof at all, i think if youd tug on it hard enough you’ll rip it apart

if you look closely you can see a tiny bolt in the path of the cable, meaning the cable is locked by tightening down the bolt pressing down on the cable. trust me, it will tear before it tugs loose

I always love watching your videos. I already tried sim racing for about 2 months with Logitech G29 and I fell in love with AC. It was my friend's wheel so I gave it back to him. Since then I watched a ton of sim racing stuff and I realized I cannot afford something like this, so I am waiting for Fanatec CSL DD (and ofc your review of that :D ) and (maybe in the future) a budget cockpit that I will make with my old DXracer chair, if it's possible to do it. Keep doing your great work, respect from Italy/Serbia.

I wish they would countersink the holes on the double bracket also. That way if you want to mount it to perpendicular profile pieces like you did with the single mount you would be able to slide them closer to the wheel or further away. Not possible with the screw heads sticking out. Also, I wonder if they make a double plate for the H+Sequential shifter and handbrake combo?

Hello Barry, thank you for your very detailed presentation and test. The tandem mounting plate for sequential shifter and H-shifter is 100% identical. Unfortunately, MME didn't put enough thought into it. You cannot mount the hardware with the tandem mounting plate on a 40x40mm profile without doing it yourself (drilling machine, screws, etc.). This is definitely not customer-friendly - not plug & play. To date, they have not implemented the required change. However, I have sent MME a detailed description of the problem. Feedback from MME "they will take it into account in future.....". In any case, in this price range, the defect should have been remedied long ago. THX Nik

I love your videos :) I'm all new in Simracing and i'm already rocking a Thrustmaster TS-XW Setup with T-LCM Pedals and a TH8A shifter with a m10 shifter mod my brother costumized mounted on a JCL V2 to be faster on my Xbox Series X. Buying a GPU is a pain in the ass right now so i'm stuck on Forza Horizon 5 and Dirt Rally 2.0. Two great games though, but using the xbox makes it quite impossible to mount something other branded like that handbrake or stuff. Does anyone of you guys own the TS-XW wheelbase and got a strange rattling noise after longer use? A noise like a fan or a belt would touch something on a irregular amount of time? Could it be overheated? Thx for your answeres :)
