Over the years I've covered a lot of games on my channel, but what you guys haven't seen are all of the cancelled videos, the games that I've tried to cover but they're either not ready, completely broken or they drain my willpower so quickly that I think the video would be too boring to release, My editor thought it'd be fun to make a video combining 6 games that've abandoned making videos about over just the past month for various different reasons.
What do you think about some of the games I tried in this video? do you think it was a good idea I cancelled making videos about them, do you think these games will improve in the future? let me know in the comments below!

I don't think he cancels videos on BAD games. He cancels videos based on whether it's possible or not to make a fun video. If a game is hilariously bad (and there are quite a few ones in this channel), he still makes very fun videos about them. Some games are just so boring you just can't make content on top of them.

Devs always fail to realise gamers leave games for the tiniest of reasons. I leave MMOs if they have too many exclusive mounts that cant be obtained anymore. I left Mortal online because the keybinds where shit. You might make a great game, but if you fuck over the small details you'll lose thousands of players.

Getting started in Wild Terra 2 is definitely slow, I can’t argue with you there, but once you get out onto the main Island, it really opens up. You are now able to trade with a bunch of players. There are now PvE instances that have good rewards feeling once you finish them. There are a lot of players on with player built homes all around. There are unique mounts you can try to get as well. And this is just the stuff that is currently in the game. WT2 is currently in early access and is completely crowd funded. The game is supposed to be fully released later this year (with tons of content even coming after the release) so I truly think you should maybe give it another try around then. P.S You can always skip the tutorial Island by going to one of the beaches and hopping on an already made boat. P.P.S If you do try this again, trade is a pretty important part of this game so unless you are fluent in (that looks like chinese but I don’t want to assume anything) I recommend switching to an english speaking server.

But even if he didn't boost to 70 he would still be like maybe two/three days in most campaings by the time he would hit 70... So level boost obiovsly does not complete any of the campaings since leveling isn't that hard. Not to mention ANY lvl 70 is too weak to deal with any of the Legacy Campaigns so giving progress to campaigns would make no sense.
@BoogerLeader
@BoogerLeader 3 жыл бұрын
Skipping through the leveling process has NEVER meant skipping through quest content. This isn't some great discovery or outlier. If anything, this says more about his ability to stay focused than the game itself as he's trying to force the game to cater to his very specific need to skip through everything quickly.
@BlameMaxSand
@BlameMaxSand 3 жыл бұрын
@@BoogerLeader The campaigns aren't questing, per se, Tho some questing is involved. they are time gated achievement style hoops one must jump thru to get to the next stage, and they have many of them, and you can skip each one for, I believe, 30$ US a pop. To get to current end game content would require upwards of 300$ US, on top of the 45$ US for the level boost. Or if you don't pony up, you can do it in months of grinding, around 6 or so if you stay at it. Either way, doesn't lend itself to boosting up to end game and seeing the content in a few hours which is Peon's intent here.

I'm more worried about that fact I can't think of a single MMO that doesn't sell you some sort of in-game currency. This sort of thing is why I don't play MMOs anymore. I remember back when I used to play things like Wow and meet a player with awesome gear and think "Wow he must be pro and have had to have defeated some hard bosses for that gear". All I can see now is "Wonder how much money they've spent on this game". While I was super excited for ASHES OF CREATION, I was immediately put off when I went to the pre-order page. Voyager Plus Pre-Order Pack - $375 / Don't forget after 9 months you also have $14.99 to pay every month as well. ^ Comes with $125 in Embers (in-game marketplace credits).

@jesperburns 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah so you get the game (60), 9 x 15 access (135) and in-game currency (125) = $300 So what is the other 75 for? Honestly, I would never consider pre-ordering something that isn't even remotely close to being finished and on which no reviewer has made any content. But I would consider getting a pack of multiple hundreds of dollars if that amounted to 100% playtime with a discount, so at least two and a half years for that price.

What I would like to see is a developer just taking experimental approach to MMO game development. Even if it's very rudimentary. Let's say each player controls one box that can move an XY axis and limited z axis (jumping, swimming, climbing like mechanics). what kind of server infrastructure will allow you to place as many players as possible on the same screen with the minimal amount of lag? Can this be handled by simply a SQL server that is storing coordinate data that is checked by a gateway server that is checking for cohesive data from the clients (preventing clients manipulating game engine to play block anywhere outside of normal parameters)? When I am interested in an MMO the first things that comes to mind is how many players do I get to play with it any one time on the screen. If that MMO is nothing but a glorified lobby for instanced content I immediately think that the developers have wasted brain power and cells developing a dungeon crawler game that could be easily done by a traditional game lobby loading directly into dungeons. I honestly think there probably is a niche for that in the fantasy genre that doesn't really exist right now. Essentially a co-op RPG genre that's essentially unfulfilled.

with neverwinter, unless its one of the endgame high-item level dungeons, I use the random dungeon/skirmish queue, it pops almost instantly, but for a lot of the dungeons you need to have a higher gear score to access them. with abilities, neverwinter works a little differently, because you mainly use the two left and right click abilities mixed in with the other three and the occasional cult and dodge but there are also artifact and potion abilities that equip to the hotbar

In Neverwinter, if you play as a DPS the queues take a long time to pop. Your best bet is to try the random trial queue and hope for the best. As for what is the point of boosting to level 70, the trials, dungeons and skirmishes are an account wide unlock. Therefore, if you are a veteran player and want to create another character, you can purchase the level 70 boost because you already have all the content unlock. However, if you are a new player, I do not recommend doing it. To be honest, Neverwinter isn't your typical MMORPG. 80% of the content you can do solo, and the rest are 5 or 10 men groups. Zones can only have 20 to 40 players at the same instance, so you don't really get the *MM* of the ORPG all that much... The good things about the game are the *combat and the lore of D&D.* (I only play for those two reasons, and because of the *friends* that I have made over the years). The *PVP shucks ass,* the drop chances of anything decent are *ridiculously low,* and the game is *HEAVY* pay to win. You can play for free if you want, but it will take *YEARS* to get the bis items and clear the end game dungeons and trials. I have never put a dime in the game, nor I ever will. Just waiting for Ashes of Creation to launch, so I can play a good and true MMORPG again...

Well, apparently he doesn't know shit about the D&D universe the game is based in. Played a paladin, then complains it's a tank/support class. Gets a boost to lvl 70, then complains he doesn't understand all the stuff the game would have tought him up till then. Great review...
@jesperburns
@jesperburns 3 жыл бұрын
@@MarvMarvensen That's why it's not a review. Also, you actually have tank/support classes where a heal or buff is more than just that. That's what he was complaining about. And the complaint about the boosting to 70 was that the game makes you play lower level content anyway. He doesn't understand why you need to complete level 20 dungeons before you get to do level 70 ones with a level 70 character. 14:00

Until the part where boosting apparently doesn't unlock content for the level you boosted to, that is.

The leveling experience is the most enjoyable part of the game. Once you reach max you are just doing dailies and weeklies forever, to progress at a snail's pace. There are literally so many dailies that you could never complete all in one day. So you have to pick and choose which content you want to progress with. It would take years to complete everything which may sound good to some but it's monotonous. The same exact quests over and over for months. Oh, but of course you can pay real money to complete things.

Biggest Issue with Never winter nights is the lack of an engaging experiance and how easy the content is, theres very few locations that you cant solo as a dps character, and even less as a paladin or Cleric. The best part is the Raids and dungeons and PvP but you cant really get on those till your in the later levels with abilitys to make you useful in them hence the games massive issue.
