Thanks for all you do! Im 57, farm raised, living in downtown Rochester, Mn. Stepped into a prominent drug store here in downtown Mayo Clinic one day in search of an Old Farmers Almanac. Knew they stocked them only to hear from the patriarch of the establishment. "Sent them back- wouldnt sell in this store- no farmers round here" Had to laugh. Told the fella Sir, I disagree. Im looking at a farmet right in front of me...How so he replied... You sir are a farmer. Every day you show up to farm the general public for your livelihood. In a way we all are farmers......We had a good chuckle over it!!!

Always run taper roller bearing arrangements loose unless it is a precision deal like a differential and has very good lubrication and cooling. The very way they work, when they get a load on them they run nicely

I as a mechanic have a recommendation on loosening wheel bearing nuts. If you believe that you installed it correctly the first time, then only back it off a 1/8th of a turn. By going a 1/4 you could be actually over loosening that could cause more damage than being over tight.

Dad just joined fbn he says they offer many options for farmers. We just ordered our soybean seed for 1800 acres for next year at a nice discount. So far our 105 day corn has done better than our 108 and 111 day corn. We do have a powerhouse 109 day corn that is holding its own. We were just way too dry this year in Indiana.

I watched you put that wheel on and looked like you got it too tight. We tighten it down then back it off and turn the nut in until you have taken all the end play out of the bearings while still free spinning.

Thanks for doing the videos. As a new farmer I love to watch the professionals. I was reading a news article about a small family farm in distress. Having trouble paying bills with the low price of commodities and stuff. I am a city farmer and get what I ask usually. That farm had a go fund me so gave a donation. Could you put a string with a tennis ball that runs from the ground to the top and then into the grain bin? You would keep the ball at the top and then drop it down to see the height of the grain when the string gets slack. Just a thought. Love the channel
