No, it tells people she is an IDIOT! She so stupid to keep rehashing old stuff, talking about & continuing to bash the very few black people with power in the business. She wants to take them down because she can't use them like they used her. It's the nature of the BUSINESS & Monique has yet to get the memo. The more she talks about how she was black balled in the business by other black folks, in particular, she kills her allies. She has taken on this role as a freedom fighter for the young black folks coming up behind her, but is she really? The very people that can give opportunities to the young black talent coming up, she trying to take down. Why come she put all the responsibility on the high up black folks in the business, naming all them, but no white folks that run the many movie companies & TV programming. None of the white people's names in high positions of power she consistently mention there, besides Netflix. She is full of shit! She needs to seriously SHUT UP & Concentrate on her comedy. She really fucked up that Netflix's deal where all the hot comedians go for their come backs & establish their worth in the business. She so stuck in the PAST, people are tired of hearing these same fucked up stories she tells over & over again about Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels & Oprah. It's like damn chick, get a clue. She has done all the damage she gonna do to those people. Meanwhile they are still WINNING & firmly planted in the BUSINESS she keeps crying about. She needs to FIRE her husband from management & get her shit right!

She NOT burning down the industry, she burning down herself! The business has & will continue to BE what it IS! All the people at the top, that so happen to be BLACK that she continues to expose, are still on top! The only ones that are struggling now is because they threw Monique a bone & fucked themselves up in process, like Steve Harvey! When he had her at his studio hashing out old shit on the air, the powers that be were listening & they pulled the plug on Steve Harvey's shit. He said a lot of dumb shit during that interview with Monique & shot himself in the foot & put his foot in his mouth one too many times. Even though he edited the interview before it aired on TV, there were still white executives in charge of his career sitting in the audience hearing his unedited words! Steve Harvey's shows were #4 in the TV ratings & one of his major successful shows got replaced by Kelly Clarkson new talk show, wtf? Ain't she a singer? That is a clear message to Steve & other black talent in the business to know their place, or they can be replaced!

And where exactly did that take her? Cause u and the under dogs ain’t paying her rent cause she sounded like she was struggling at some point especially from the lifestyle she came from. Everybody in the industry says she’s hard to work with. She fumbled her own bag. For a guy like Tyler Perry to not want to work with her again even though multiple people have spoken on her behalf should tell you enough. Cause he put almost every single one of them on so why would he hate now and don’t want to see the best for his people. Just because she’s black that doesn’t mean others should fumble their own bag and stand by her. People make sacrifices every day she felt she was too big for that.

@@cassandrajohns5030 you mean to go overseas and promote yourself? Who’s really benefiting from it especially if everything else is payed for? There’s nothing better than having new audiences especially if 90 percent of her audience are black, imagine having people from overseas watching. Her husband helped fumbled her bag cause why she got her husband managing her business? She ain’t the first or last celebrity that had to do that. All those people she is supposedly dragging out into the light & supposedly did her wrong are STILL WINNING! Tyler Perry got a slew of new projects coming out this fall on BET, & need I remind y'all, he OWNS his shit...from production companies to his own studio. No one can take away Tyler Perry's accomplishments & major influence in the business. He has employed more black actresses & put them back to work than anyone else out there that run the white infested major studios. Where Monique at as far as power to employ these up & coming black folks behind her? Besides having a funky little pod cast & social media at her finger tips, where she can bad mouth old associates & sabotage her career, SHE HAS NOTHING OF VALUE to offer in the very business she keeps complaining about. When was the last time Monique did a legitimate TV Special featuring her comedy? Yeah she working the clubs & got a Vegas act, but how many people have seen it? She small potatoes people. She just flapping her gums but got no real bite to her no more!

Are they? Their reputations haven't been the same since this came out and it keeps getting worse. Oprah is being exposed as being a aunt jemima,Lee daniels has been exposed not just by her but by other people and his show been canned Will packer last two productions has flopped since this whole thing has come out, its only Perry who is winning since in my opinion was the least causing the trouble out of these gatekeepers. If she wasn't telling the truth you wouldn't feel the need to reply about it and post an excuse. The details are too specific and the actions of the main people involved have more or less indicated her statements.

DarkLight6Tv Oprah exploited her family, or did Monique exploit her own family, and Oprah allowed them to respond? See, there’s a couple of ways to look at this. #1. WHY was it okay for Monique to come out and slander her family, mother, father etc and say they allowed her to be abused (even if true) but they weren’t allowed to tell their side? #2. You do know Monique’s family could have SUED Oprah for allowing that, right? 🤨 Her allowing them to tell their side relieved her of possible litigation. Like i said. Judge ppl on their intentions. Do you honestly think Oprah INTENDED to humiliate or hurt Monique, or was Oprah just arrogant in thinking she could help them? Did you watch the episode her family appeared on Oprah? Oprah defended Monique and took her side the entire time. So again, was Oprah’s intention to hurt Monique? Monique said herself she spoke with Oprah after the show, and the conversation ended pleasantly, her HUSBAND told her to react different. Her husband. The common denominators of her troubled relationships....

I remember when the phone calls were leaked sometime last year, and I thought it was a VERY tacky move...if you haven't already I would suggest listening to the call (awkward as hell and I cringed through most of it) because you can find it on Google or KZbin very easily. Tyler sounded like he was really trying to help out Mo'Nique, but he could barely get a word in. Either "daddy" would preach to Perry or Mo would piggy back on his words. Regardless of whose side you are on, I don't think it was right to record then release private phone calls. Apparently, it is not against the law to record calls; I read about that not too long after the calls were leaked because it seemed very sketchy to me. However, I think that was a TERRIBLE idea because it shows a lack of respect, professionalism and hell I'd NEVER trust anyone who did that to me. I'm surprised he didn't hangup when they were saying "I wanna talk to Madea..." Basically, she's BLOWING UP bridges rather than burning them. Seriously, how would she think ANYONE would want to work with her again after pulling a stunt like that? People keep saying she's calling people out, but really anyone who does not agree with her (and her husband's) way of thinking is added to her 'enemy list.'

@@michaelbrown5735 So if you got cheated out of money and blackballed- ESPECIALLY by a friend, you're supposed to just keep your mouth shut and keep it moving? Well when you do that it sets the precedent for everybody else to do it to you thereafter-- Monique is smart enough to realize that, and that is what she speaking up about. Being rewarded for shucking and jiving and turning on friends may seem like that's it--but look what just happened to Steve Harvey and Lee Daniel's shows. They both played "the game" that they told Mo'Nique she needed to shut up and play..... and look what the people that orchestrated "the game" did to them. There's no such thing as "running your mouth too much" when you're telling the truth. If you're mad at her for telling the truth, then you also should be mad at the ones that did to her what she's talking about. The people she thought she could trust were attempting to tarnish that legacy that you speak of when they turned on her and put the word out that she was difficult to work with, and then refused to open their mouths and stand up for her and say it was a lie-- YET just Mo'nique is ruining her career? It's just a clear-cut case of exactly what she said in another interview: She's a fat, black woman and the sentiment against her is that she's supposed to just shut up take what she can get and be lucky that she was even invited to the party in the first place.

Like I’ve said, thank you Mo’nique for doing this interview and thank you Comedy Hype for giving her your platform. Mo is fighting for more than what the naysayers are able/choose to see. When they blackballed you, they’ve taken your name and all she wants back is her name. What in a name? Everything! Plus they took her name over crumbs. $50,000? She never got her percentage from Precious and they refused to pay her for international travel. That industry works on contracts and she didn’t have one and her original wasn’t handled properly by her previous management. I remembered when it happened. They praised Mo for Precious then suddenly dogged her out and it’s been a target on Mo since. Mo was an established comic actress with a robust resume. They owed her and shafted her point blank. Was Kevin Hart or Tessa Thompson not paid to for the international promo of their films? How about percentage? How do you know that negotiated a percentage and didn’t get it? Now her husband is her manager and making the sure she doesn’t have to go through any of that again and now he’s bad for her too...?

@@babidimplez It's not about the dollar amount. It's about the principle. Monique didn't mention a specific dollar amount - she just asked if she was paid fairly. That's a good point. She made a good point.

Monique is a solid superstar. Fiercely intelligent, passionate, determined, and articulate, she is among the most talented actresses we have. That movie, "Precious" was a masterpiece and she so deserved her Oscar. Go on strong, brave woman.

How many people watching this right now.. Really... Deep down in their hearts.... Really feel like they are being paid what they are worth. (hint that's a trick question)... Make all the money you can make... Do good business, but don't ever expect to be paid what you're worth because it's not possible... You're priceless... And if you spend your time trying to get paid like it you'll probably find yourself making less than the best deal you COULD have made.

Damn, this is a good interview. I have listened to Monique talk about this before, but TODAY, I felt her pain and frustration. Why won’t these people speak up and tell the truth? Monique is not crazy and she is giving details. Oprah, Tyler and Lee are not speaking on this because they are wrong and they should feel ashamed. Oh when the tides turn and Monique comes back on top, they will be shook. 🙏🏾 for Monique, she WILL be vindicated!

Someone remind Monique that it's been 10 entire years since Precious... It's okay to not wanna eff with any of these people no more... But damn girl, move on.. Move forward... How is it we only hear of you when you're talking about someone else?! You're better than this Monique, let your craft push you forward and ignore the BS..

THIS is the advice she needs to see/hear. Whatever Sidney is telling her is not helping at all.
