This proves the old Biblical saying: Live by the sword, You will die by the sword and The Shapiro Brothers all did in the end. The Mob life back then is interesting to me on a historical level only but nearly All from the top down end up the same way to this very way, in jail or dead and most by the hand of a "Friend" or other Associate who has their eye on your spot. Easy money is a fantasy that never ends up well because in the end it all ends and usually very badly as in this story. Thank You for your interesting and educational video.

Ha ha funny thought . Go to how Jayz gave Irv Gotti his name. He said that Irving didnt sound gangster enough, hence Gotti. Well Irving Shapiro might disagree with that. Dude was a Bantam fighter. Thats super light, but guess what, thats super fast. Power thrills but speed kills.

@afewbadmen. I like the old Ellington “Mooch,” but there are other period (20s-40s) tunes, too, in the public domain now. Just a suggestion, Boss. No harmful intent. Keep the research top-shelf & who’s gonna care? They’ve all got to come to you for the hard data anyways. Nobody’s got the Ambergs AND Shapiros on the same block. Nobody. Plus Terranova & Anastasia? Nobody. The channel’s a goldmine, so far, & I only found it 3-4 days ago. Excuse my late confession, pls.

According to Rich Cohen giving an account of Herb Cohen giving an account of what Larry King said. Not exactly reliable in itself, as much as I like 'Tough Jews' (the original source for that claim of yours). I mean, the claim is made at the same time that Tyson spent an HOUR immediately after a fight talking about the Brownsville Boys with King ... is that credible?

@watsdaplayy2375" Murder is alright, as long as you don't get caught "Phil Pittsburgh Phil Strauss yeah trust, I m not making that up, several accounts I ve read. Dude was from Brooklyn but Why Do you think they called him Pittsburgh Phil?! Because he would go to Pittsburgh Philly LA St Louis, wherever to do the syndicates bidding. And the interting part, alot of times, he hardly used a gun, just anything he could find handy fire extinguisher in a dark movie theater, a rock 🪨 whatever. Him and Roy Demeo really went over the top.
