what i hoped they got from ep 7 is that the different perspective on mob meeting reigen was put there again in the show to completely change how you view the scene. originally, its shown to be a moment of inspiration and hope for mob thanks to reigens on the fly advice. but now we see it in its more adult sense from reigens perspective, where we see that it wasnt only reigen who saved mob, it was also that mob saved reigen. i love when the same part is shown in two different perspectives and it has vastly different meanings

don’t know if anyones said this already, but i’d like to point out that it wasn’t reigen that changed, it was mob. reigen’s whole dissing of mob’s friends and personal life was completely in character for him, but normally, mob would be so accepting of it that it wouldn’t stand out as much. after 6 months in mogami world, mob earned a sense of discipline that allowed him to have it in him to tell off reigen and make him realize that he was kind of acting like a jackass towards him.

When Reigen was cornered to the question of becoming somebody... His first thoughts was Mob. Imagine that in Mobs' POV watching your confident master to stutter over the question of what made him stay on such a shady business and Mob hears how his Master acknowledge his growth... The same thing as to Reigen, imagine being confident to take everything, even with a parents that doesn't believes in you. Imagine you being a conman, a commoner who's ambitious to be something great, a nobody and a fraud with no Identity, until someone that's important to you said who you really are... A good person. I just couldn't hold my tears back then

Mob always knew about Reigen I think even in his "gullible" stage of season 1 he knew but he also could see that Reigen is good guy deep down and that he cares for him. It's a bit like the story with his brother they had to fall off to understand eachother without any of them hiding something

Reigen on s1 said to be that he can't be defeated to arguments. Not even the pressure of press conference break his ego. But from Mobs confrontation you can see how Reigen stutters and almost break down.

(spoilers? not entirely) chapter 100 is when it ends but the whole situation only lasts a few hours unlike the end of s2 which was a couple days. also not nearly as many characters involved. the first arc of the season will probably last four eps tbh but again idk!

Episode 8 is such a great episode. I watched this week to week, and that cliffhanger SUCKED! I couldn't handle waiting so I immediately went out and read the manga. I needed to know. Loved seeing everyone react to the end of episode 8. The looks on your faces were fantastic.

The most interesting thing about Reigen is he accepts himself being a con man but reality is much more complicated. For most of his psychic career he has had Mob with him, meaning they have been hiring the greatest psychic in the world for pennies of his worth. Which means Reigen indirectly has been helping. On the other side when its not a real super natural problem Reigen helps the customer with peace of mind. You could argue this is still a scam but also a good chance if you tell person there problem is not real they won't believe you and go some where else. Which in turn they could be scammed by those for much more $ and they might not even feel better when its all done. For majority of Reigen clients he performs real task for them to see or feel(massage) to prove peace of mind at the end, which why show goes out of way to show this. He doesn't solve a real problem but he does take care of their needs which is different than scam that does neither.

Yeah! I keep seeing people saying Reigen overcharge his customers for normal services disguise as something requiring psychic power, but I've always thought the show implies that Reigen always charges his services fairly. Like his "exorcism" massages are charged as normal massages.
