I’ve watched about a hundred “Ultimate table saws stand” videos and this was the one I remembered. The modular design, features and craftsmanship. This is the design everyone who has a smaller shop should be using. Very well done!

I’ve seen a lot of workstation builds. But this has been the most meticulous and wonderfully engineered I’ve ever seen. Absolutely incredible finishing. I’m actually starting my station today and I’m so glad I came across this.

I agree with you that this is the most thought out design that is indeed good for practical use. I have an old Craftsman Contractor saw from the 1960's and I'm looking to make it into more of a cabinet saw. Most of the stations I see are either over engineered and more than what I need, or look totally wonky.

Dude I have been wondering how to build a table saw workstation and this is one of the best I have seen. There's one other channel but I cannot think of the guys channel atm. It was a sweet looking build as well as your one. I think I'm going to take a shot at ur one mate bcos it seems much easier atm. The other dude uses techniques I'm not up to scratch with right now and it would be a waste of my time I believe. Your table saw here is phenonenal work and u made it look very easy to build. It may well be a tough ask for me but I'm going to give it a right good go now. Thanks for a superb video and I am hoping u give the plans away too. I'm outa work with this bloody Covid atm and I don't get paid as I'm on a 6 month contract there. KEEP UP THE BRILLIANT WORK BRO and Hello from IRELAND!!!

Im in the process of making this now. I had to cut out the top of the small compartment and the hollow out the table top about 1/4". Then you can reach in the small compartment and pull on the lever to get the riving knife out.

Hi, i just made myself a clone of this bench, but wondered how you dealt with the amount of play from the slides when trying to cut heavy sheets. Mine wants to twist the sheets when a decent amount of weight is on them. Bit unsafe as it is now. Thinking about how i can lock them in place so the slides are disabled at various lengths

Hello, my compliments for the explanations about the DeWalt saw bench. I would like to ask a question: is there a system or a product to protect the "work surface" (gray in color) from scratches and wear?

There is no such thing. I don't need to protect the surface.

@@carpentak I ask you for advice. When checking my 7492 (purchased a few days ago) I detected a difference in level on the work surface (basically by placing the level or a precision square used for mechanics and pressing with one finger on the end of it, with the other finger pushing on the opposite side I have the "Telegraph" effect - that is, I see that it "taps" on the bench and you notice a difference in level of about 1.5 mm over a distance of 15 cm!) What do you advise me to do? Should I ask for a return? Should I return everything and exchange it for another? .... 😭😵💫

Great ideas, beautiful, practical table. Out of all the workbench videos I've seen, THIS is the one I wanted to build for my "first workbench." However there's just too much required in the way of tools....I don't have a router or a bunch of the other things, and I'm just a newbie DIYer so I don't automatically think "oh, I can just use this instead." Bummer....I'd love to make this table....:-(

It's terrific, but you covered the riving knife release lever on the left side near front. That's my only thing to say other than I need to build something like this! The drawer slides for the outfeed is brilliant!!
@carpentak2 жыл бұрын
My 7492 doesn't have that lever. So I didn't bother with it. The 7492 imported to Korea here doesn't have it. Dewalt sometimes does bad things to Korea.
@unixgeek132 жыл бұрын
@@carpentak That's awful that DeWalt does that. I just realized that I have a 7491, sold in the USA. Your projects are all really great. I think the first thing I'll make is the crosscut sled. Keep up the great work. I liked and subscribed
@hokaidosax2 жыл бұрын
You can cut holes through the left side shelf to access the reliving level since this shelf is only 10cm in width. Make holes big enough for your hand. That’s the simplest solution I can think of. Or you may put the hinges under the top piece of this shelf and drill a small hole on it to lift it up with your finger to access this lever, which ever way is more convenience for you and your tools.
