I knew Ken since 1988, his knowledge was unparalleled. He was such a cool dude, he taught me everything I know about amplifiers. I sure miss him.

Great Amps, Great history! The first amp- the original inspiration was a Liverpool named Ginger- made for Caspar McCloud from Atlantic Records. I wonder who has this today!? Cool videos man.

Hey Caspar! Thanks so much for watching. Love your playing and bless you for helping to start the trainwreck saga! Ain't nothing like a wreck. Hope you are well and thanks for commenting. I was hoping we'd cross paths eventually. Do you still have your original liverpool?

Great vid. Love the back story of yourself and Bernie. RIP to him and Ken. Viewed an Austin City Limits just tonite from '08 with Brad Paisley. Even pointed out to my wife (she's a fan), There's a Trainwreck next to the Vox. Hattie Mae? cosmic :)

I really want a trainwreck amp and a marshall stack and dsl 100 watt head also....soon enough .

the more I listen to you and kuykendall play that amp.....gotta have one !!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MOBontv7 жыл бұрын
thanks man! I agree. Kenny wanted to build an amp that didn't. The amp should be able to do its job, not need help from a fuzz box. Glad you're liking my series, be sure to check out all the other episodes!

My pleasure guys! Remember to stay tuned. There's 19 more episodes coming! mattoreeband.com

Aren’t those amps worth like 70k?
@MOBontv4 жыл бұрын
Not 70. I've heard some going for 30-40. I guess what someones willing to pay for it. Me, I need it to go to work. Not really as a collectors piece. They are my favorite amps ever. Thanks for watching

The gear matters less than the player behind it.

Christopher Murphy very true. Was just teaching a student yesterday explaining that if you work hard enough, eventually your technique and feel outweigh the gear. Thanks for watching!
