Great dyno pulls! I copied this from my 2012 Silverado Owner's Manual. When M (Manual Mode) is selected a number displays next to the M, indicating the current gear. This number is the highest gear that can be used. However, the vehicle can automatically shift to lower gears as it adjusts to driving conditions. This means that all gears below that number are available. When 5 (Fifth) is selected, 1 (First) through 5 (Fifth) gears are automatically shifted by the vehicle, but 6 (Sixth) cannot be used until the plus/minus button located on the steering column lever is used to change to the gear.

Outstanding!!! I'm so glad GM finally built a good diesel!!! Those old 6.2's(? I think they were 6.2...) sure were junk... We had them at work and they were weak as pond water! My wife owns (she owns everything of value at our house, just ask her ;-) a 01 F350 Crew Cab, 8' Bed 4X4 with the tried and true 7.3L Diesel. We had a light snow of 6" last winter so I took her to work in the truck, dropped her off in an empty school parking lot, then proceeded to do donuts in the pristine snowy parking lot... She shook her head and said a 50 year old man should know better... Hate to tell her but at that moment, I was 15 again ;-) It's been an outstanding truck!!! We've hauled horses all up and down the east coast from Penn. to Fl.!!! Hauled cars, hay, tractors, you name it, we've hauled it, and it did it effortlessly!!! I have one of those electronic tuners (not as fancy as you've got) with 3 settings, factory, towing, and black smoke!!! I always kept it on tow as that seems to be the best compromise between power and good mileage... It'll climb Black Mountain in western NC in OD, but I pull it down to 3rd to save wear and tear on the tranny... I actually had a man at a hydraulics shop offer me 20K for the truck last year, amazing how it's kept it's value :-) Always enjoy your vids sir, God Bless you and your family :-)

Chris Rowlison no clue, I don't follow him. It's a common mistake honestly because majority of the company's l ever came across or bought from have them labeled as the same headlights, impact bar, and lower valance and such but the bumper caps, hoods, and grille is completely different

For the rear end swap the G80 locker for a tru track, GET HEADSTUDS!! And for a charger I’d highly recommend a T4 pedestal and a s363/83 .90ar, as for the trans get ahold of Suncoast there in FL they’ll hook you up! A Fass 165 lift pump, Then get a complete retune and a fleece alli locker and that truck will run low 12’s high 11’s

4th gear is 1:1 so do a pull in that. Turbo is a 61, and build the trans and you show be able to make 530-560 with max effort tunes

Max effort tune is the most horsepower potential your teuck has with stock turbo. It's usually around 500 wheel hp

5:19 The grille fitment has to do tiwht the truck being a 2500/3500 which come with a 2.5 in body lift from factory.

Not so much a body lift, just a taller frame, but he still needs a different grill, and also a different chrome piece for the front of the hood.

@@stephensoemann3576 Look up RPO code HVY.......It designates the 2 inch body lift that is on all 2500HD and 3500 Silverado/Seirra. It just has larger cab mount bushings which equate into the gap that is seen in the grille that he installed. The HD trucks came with a filler panel to accomodate that.

I had the same truck. 2008 lmm put a s366 single turbo on it and made 511rwhp and 906ftlbs. Stock Injector stock transmission and never had any issues.

The 6 speed Allison in that LMM can handle 120-150 horse over stock just fine. Clutch wear depends on your right foot 😂

Add a lift pump and delete the factory fuel filter, it will help on the higher rpm range, depending on how hot the tune is it will feel like the trans is slipping when its actually running out of fuel. Also if you plan on making a stupid amount of power get the cam and crank keyed and get rid of the dowl pins.

Few things for you, do you have a lift pump? Did you do a down pipe on the turbo, from factory they neck down to 21/2 from 3 inches, also if you look at the drivers side manifold you will notice a recess on it, that's a relief for a topkick/kodiak steering shaft, you can use an lml(11+) manifold to be cheap or PPE makes stepped manifolds with egt probe holes drilled in, also, since you ditched the egr, ditch the passengers up pipe, go get an lb7 federal emissions up pipe, the egr tube vibrates and fails with the block off plate and then boost leak. While im thinking of it, you can use an 11 brake master cylinder as an easy brake upgrade for your truck, has to be an 11 because its an on/off setup where newer its a 5+ volt reference deal. Also look into traction bars for it, these trucks get bad axle wrap when you launch them, also if launching it get a new beefier center link and tie rod ends, you dont need the duramax toe in

Jeremy this is something i heard recently about running an automatic on a dyno. It is most common with the allison. If the trans up shifts during the pull you can get high hp readings than what the truck is actually making. Just something for you to consider looking into. Someone else on here may know more about it.

Good luck with those headlights. Had a set on my LMM for 3 weeks before the LED running light failed, received it's replacement and it died in a month. They told me to seal them with silicone due to Florida humidity... They're sweet looking but quality control isn't the strongest.

You can make 600hp on the stock turbo. Changing it will increase lag a lot, and will increase egts a lot when towing. Spend your money on a trans and tune it with efi live and a 6 position.

When you upgrade turbos dont get another vgt. Go for a fixed and you'll never go back! Vgt's are partially designed for better spool on low to mid but are also designed to have more back pressure for the egr system which means higher egts and more back pressure for the intake to have to push out

Diesels are def fun man!! I miss mine had a 03 6.0 bulletproofed powerstroke had bigger injectors 68mm powermaxx and had a bone stock 97 single cab flatbed dually 12 valve. Sure do miss the powerstroke it would do 0-60 in 4.31 seconds from a boosted launch

Jeremy i have a 2013, i ran a s475 over stock for just over a year on the stock trans with just the line pressure solenoid (cheap version of the trans tune) and it was still living when i threw a mike l trans in it, mike did say all my clutches were burned but that it didn't look too bad inside.

Put the thing in tow/haul mode. It will lock the converter once in 2nd gear and past 25mph. Then see what it makes on the dyno.
