I‘m not sure I agree. What bothers me more is that all superchargers will have double cables. Why cant they just fast charge via the mennekes part of the ccs port for tesla vehicles?

@@TeslaSchweiz Hi, and thank's for the video! Tesla cannot use the Type2/Mennekes port for fast DC charging if it is configured as a CCS plug because it is not allowed by the CCS standard! Only AC charging is allowed through Type2/Mennekes port according to CCS, that's why they use the 2 extra connectors at the bottom for DC charging. Tesla is currently using a modified Type2 version for DC and AC charging which is not CCS compatible.

I totally agree that Tesla is currently the benchmark is mainstream electric vehicles. But we need many more manufacturers with different ideas to join the field! #goelectric
