Model Electric Beam Engine

This is a Model Electric Beam Engine. It uses an electromagnet for power rather than a solenoid. I made some parts out of laminated northern hard maple. I machined the flywheel from a solid brass plate. The spokes were machined in the milling machine using a dividing head. The points are actuated by a phenolic cam. It operates on six volts.
