Always good to see an update, and it was worth it just for the wee tutorial with that pot of metallic effect paint! 😮 Just shows that simple techniques are usually the best! 😎 That office block though is something else! It looks brilliant even only partially built. Very clever way to construct a very 3D and strong building 🤔 That effort with the fuel tanks will complement it nicely 🤓 And to top it off, a great shot of the push-pull set with the 47, which I always look forward to seeing on your layout! 😄 Cheers Dave, great stuff as ever 🍻👍🍀

DaveClass47 lol thank you but sadly I think animal and pet portraits all over your layout would ruin it lol. However painting landscapes that are designed to look real without ever attracting your attention are quite quick and easy to paint so if you are planning this at any time I am more than happy to tell you how to do it and create depth and realism to what your trying to achieve. That would be my pleasure. 👍

Hi Dave. Looking forward to the development of the TMD. Interesting to see that as your skills have grown you have changed from card kits to designing and scratch building in other materials. Did you have the parts laser cut for you or have you cut them yourself? Well done to all the competition winners, regards Bobby 'T'.
@DeanPark5 жыл бұрын
Hi Bobby, thanks. I like to use a range of materials. I always hoped to make the TMD from plastic kits and try my hand at scratch building as my skills developed. It would have been easy for me to bang up a Metcalfe kit etc, but I wanted a project within the TMD project to really spend a bit of time on. I designed all the parts for the TMD Office, but had them laser cut for me. They all fitted together well. I am trying to go for quality, not quantity for the TMD....it might take me a few months, but why rush? lol. Cheers. Dave

@DeanPark5 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I will take note of that. I don't like doing too much in the way of music but I thought sitting watching me cut out plastic and assemble a building would be a bit dull....and the music covers my cursing as I do it! lol. More viewers asked me to 'show us you making things', instead of just showing the result. Therefore I have had to put these bits in, albeit at a little quicker speed. This is where I tend to use the music. Thanks again. Dave
