I have anxiety and cannot sleep with little creaking noises and too much silence because I hear every little noise. I got a sound machine and it has changed my life. I sleep so long and so soundly now. I used to put a fan on every night but I think the sound machine is smaller, thus more convenient & portable, and works better. Also looking into getting a weighted blanket. Maybe that would help you too.
