So glad you guys made it back to the Modern Home Build to finish ‘er up! To answer Jaime’s question of hours, I think it was close to 12 hours and a friend came and helped me for two. Can’t wait to get it all wrapped up with a pretty little bow and get moved in! Though I am sure gonna miss each and every one of you after all is said and done. I have said it numerous times - your skills, attention detail and care you are putting into my home shine thru in every aspect. And your humor! You have made the build of my dream home so much less stressful than it could have been. As I write this, you all are days away from finishing your part, and only a few more bits needed by subs. Move in day is likely just a couple of weeks away which means I will likely be in BEFORE my birthday. So, great job getting it done by my deadline date I half jokingly gave you months ago. Grateful you all agreed to take on my build and put up with me allowing me to see how my home is built. I have for more knowledge of the details of my home and so appreciate that privilege. If you ever need an unskilled grunt worker on crew please sign me up. Much love to each of you guys! Happy, heart full home owner here!!! ❤💕💜

@@marioglodek6755 - thanks. Grateful I was mistaken - it dried to the correct, lighter color I was expecting! Video posts are almost 4 weeks behind. I am about 2 weeks away from CO! PBB and crew only have a couple of days away from finishing their punch list! There’s a hold up on final plumbing, gas hookup and final HVAC. The Queen Suite shower glass install is weeks away but won’t hold up my CO! So excited to get moved in and start nesting!

@@ramellesmith1520 Can't believe we are 40 videos in to this build, had to look and the 1st one hit KZbin back in August. Seems like half that time. It is great to have the ability to be involved in building your home if you have the chance. When you can look at the finished product, but yet see all the steps to get there in person. The great thing here is, you can go and click on Perkins channel and find the playlist for your build and re-live it anytime you want. Plus see others have an amazing quality home built as well. Looking back at the Perkins channel I noticed I have watched every video for the last 6oo+ they have published. Happy your wonderful home is nearing completion. And always exciting to see "Building (random property) part 01 just as I was7 months ago "Modern Home Build | 01 | Clearing the lot" kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipfcaY2uns6sf7ssi=VLwbwWGm7tDYvWKp

@@Cobalt135 - it’s been a great ride! PBB will likely be posting vids of the Modern Home Build for a couple of more weeks. They are wrapping up their punch list in the next two days (happy and sad about that). The plumber, electricians w/ 4 exterior lights, gas company, HVAC and the roofer for the bump out at LR/DR south wall are the final things. Oh, and the glass for the shower that won’t be installed for another month but isn’t required for my CO since I have the guest bathroom. I have actually already gone back and watched some episodes while they took the 2 month break for sub work including the Clearing the Lot! So grateful they allowed me to help, let me hang out when there was nothing I could do to contribute and explained to me the whys and the wherefores of particular aspects of the build. Grateful I got to retirement a tad earlier than I anticipated so that I had the time available even though the reasons were difficult life events. Novel number three of my life has been great thus far with PBB and crew. And I am ready to get to the chapter of nesting in my beautiful home in just a couple of weeks. As I keep saying - heart full person here! Thanks for watching and appreciating PBB and crew - they truly are the absolute best!

Hey Perkins crew, at 16:20, when using larger hole saws in plywood, running it all the way through in forward is a wrist breaker. Drill the smaller pilot in forward, then switch to reverse with the big teeth and you'll get a smooth hole with no pain or injury. JS

I literally never comment on anything, but I just had to post something here. Ok, so I started watching these videos a few months back on accident and now I find myself binge watching them nightly. And, no, not while I'm falling asleep. Like watching them in primetime... while we eat dinner.... (duplex, modern build, fire pit, the deck, new office under a deck - who does that by the way? - etc.). What's even crazier is that I work for a major Television network. I can't tell you which one, but it doesn't have an ABC NBC or CBS in the title. Look, I just have to say that, Erik, you do a great job producing this content, and Jaime, never stop doing what you're doing, it's pure gold. Obviously you both are incredibly talented carpenters, builders, etc., but you have lighting in a bottle with the chemistry of you two, Jason, Ray, Jono, and Arlo. Pacing is perfect, humor is spot on, integrations are done with ease, and on top of all that, you learn stuff while you watch! in Any case, back to binging. Keep making content!!
