For all of you who don't speak hebrew: on 7:25 yogev says "bro, it'll be alright, it'll be alright" common phrase in israel. Cheers yogev, great video.

shreya ghoshal and meshuggah on the same channel was not something i thought i'd see but hey look at that. thanks a lot, this sounds great (also props for the I breakdown; i'd been looking for someone to confirm that rational gaze-esque part, but as you can imagine searching 'I' on google isn't exactly helpful)

hi Yogev, first of all, love you videos!! I'm from uruguay, i first heard of konnakol i think from steve smith, and i find it very interesting. there's like 15 years since i learned that it existed but there's no easy to find places to learn it (specially here in uruguay), so i think that a LOT of people would love some konnakol videos series in order to really learn waht it is, how to practice it, and how to use it for the drum set. So.... pleasse???!! ps. i've been following you since you uploaded the venetian snares cover, so a couple of years
@YogevGabay2 жыл бұрын
Ohhh thanks man ! And yeah that Venetian Snares video was a while back ! About learning konnakol, I'm not yet qualified to teach it officially, I kinda use it in how ever I want hahaha

Really excited to be the first to answer your proposal: the 16th note triplet comes from the shaker in the intro with the vocals, and the other triplet appears from the tabla at 1:46. Lastly, you play a slick sixtuplet on the floor tom at 4:44

Konnakol fascinates me. Partly because I can’t count it properly. I understand it and it’s hypnotic. It’s like patting your head and rubbing your belly. Lol. It just takes practice. I need to study it more. 😬👍
