my ex wife wanted back in after I divorced her over her cheating on me. I gave her everything, kids, house, car, money in her pocket, love, all if it. She chased me after the divorce for two yrs before she realized it wasn't gonna happen. If you saw what she had to settle for and what I gave her she took a complete L. 15 yrs later to this day she still shows signs of regret and would get back with me if I have her the chance, it's all over her face and comments she makes occasionally. To this day if I need a favor I can ask her and she'll go out of her way to do it. I would however never get back with her.

Your kids figuratively get vaporized but the damage radiates out to the rest and the radiation eventually affects you the one who pushed the button.
