Got my 1st harp at Halloween. There or there abouts. When I feel I'm getting fed up, I come across a video of yours I haven't seen. I'm instantly hooked again

Adam I really would like to thank you for all the greatness you provided on your channel. I first picked up the harp 8 years ago but simply dropped it after a year as I have no idea what to do with it. Until I discovered your tutorials a year ago. Now my passion in playing the harp is more than anything else. You really have done a great job in inspiring people. Thanks!

Adam Gussow is a highly talented and respected harmonica player who I have had the privilege of associating with on KZbin. He has mentored many up and coming musicians including Jason Ricci and Tomlin Leckie, they too are great musicians following his lead. Keep it going Adam 👍

Greatest 'harmonic-y' riff lesson of all time. Taking advantage of the harp layout and being interesting and melodic musically at the same time. Good stuff.

Adam, Iv'e met a awesome harp player that was playing here between gigs with our blues Society in pekin illnois some years back, was probably a wednesday between a St. Louis & chicago gig,not gonna say who he was.but' he should have been more Hummelble to his fans. even bought one of his instructional DVDs.he didn't leave his ego outside. You'll be remembered for being humble & Appreciative of the harp players before you, that gave you the foundation to be the harmonica player that you are.I applaud you.

@KudzuRunner In fact at first was a bit difficult because I mixed the big walters horton riffs with your lesson. But you gave plenty of new ideas. I also noticed that in your playing you use the first part of the riff many times (the going to a note then to the adjacent and back to the initial note, all with a fast glissando). I guess it's sound a bit more kind of sax playing than usual harmonica licks. I'm rediscovering your playing. Thanks again Adam!

If I could make a suggestion.....? I love your instruction. With each lesson, could you demonstrate how to apply these rifts to a backing track by giving an example or showing how you apply them to a song or performance? Many thanks.

fantasic video! got me as a fairly novice harp player 'getting it' or the feel of it within minutes and left me wanting to perfect it and work it into riffs. i know you rarely respond to questions on youtube because you are spammed with them, but have you thought about/this is a plea for a video specifically aimed at grooving with a guitar player because some of your videos from MBH hint at it but I am still having difficulty? sorry for wall of text.

Great video... thank you very much for this great resource, I will definitely be rewinding, pausing and playing allot on this one :-) ... I was wondering as I am deep into first position these days... are you using the middle octave in battle (on stage) ? I have not seen any player doing the middle octave in first position in a gig... The best first position playing I saw was Alex Paclin's video but it was edited as my good friend David pointed to me... What do you think of it?

Question pertinente : Est-ce que dans votre grand pays les harmonicistes gagnent leur croûte? Ici depuis le décès de Johnny Halliday c'est pas la joie du côté de la muse d' Euterpe. Mais y' aura des jours meilleurs.
