FYI: You actually need all three of the Pittsburgh tap and die sets. The 60 piece that has both metric and standard are smaller sizes. The ones that are either metric or standard are larger sizes. There will be some overlap between the smaller 60 piece set and the larger ones, but that's to be expected and the overlap sizes are probably going to be your most commonly used ones. I have all three and the aren't that bad of quality, just don't think your going to run production jobs with them. Whichever set or sets folks buy, I would make sure that you have all sizes/thread count up to including 1". There is nothing worse that not having the tap or die that you need.

Prices will never go back to what they were before the pandemic, regardless of administration. Corporations have already conditioned consumers to them. Hoping that it'll go from $140 back to sub $100 is not reality, especially if tariffs are implemented on foreign made goods (like pretty much everything at HF is).

Realistically I'm hoping prices stabilize for 2-3 years. Hopefully wages increase to make items seem less expensive.
