Thank you KZbin. About 6 months ago. I had just fiinished listening to pentatonix and their wonderful version of hallelujah. When KZbin posted Lucy as an alternative, I clicked on the link, and I've been down the rabbit hole eversince and happy to be there. I love this song, and the Thomas sisters’ voices blended so wonderfully together. It’s hard to imagine this mature delivery at their young ages…. My sister and I couldn’t look at each other while singing. Too many inside jokes. 😆

@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind this particular song may not have the drama and emotion of The Prayer or The Climb but as you say it more than makes up for this by the perfect singing and harmonies and the heartfelt warmth of the performance. They didn’t try to over sing it, they just sang it really really well as the song requires

This is so delicate, perfect, i remember Louis Armstrongs monologue, one of my all time favourite songs. They have cerrainly taken this, refreshed an old classic and made it perfect. What harmonies.

Bob, I totally agree with what you mentioned about this one. About the sibling harmony -- I think their vibratos were even in sync. This rendition is beautiful all the way around. I also like the inter-cutting of the b/w images; It provides some variety. This video is totally serene and chill inducing. Lucy and Martha have done it again.😂

Yes, Yes, Yes everything you said and more. The world is a much better place with these ladies in it. Can you imagine, just for a moment what one of today's pop singers would do with this song? Loud guitars, bass and drums dressed in scanty attire and screaming at the top of their lungs. The circle they work in would call it, ground breaking and better than the original. Hey Bob another great review. I don’t know why I have become so attached to these wonderful young ladies but it was great to see these two starring at me from my computer yesterday when I turn on the monitor. This song just changed my whole outlook on the day. Of course the two beauties that came with it didn’t hurt one bit. The dog and horse was just the cherry on. We have a dog of the same breed except it’s a chocolate color. I don’t know how to explain the shear quality of their voices. They were just perfect again. Be safe my friend.

Thats what I like about Lucy's songs they respect the songs make it there own take but not just using the song as a platform for them. Martha sounds good but she appears to be goping through a phase of change as she grows and it then settles back down I'm sure her voice coach same one as Lucy I believe is smoothing it along.
