I left out the coconut, made a bigger wet portion, added ground flaxseed instead of bran, and added ¾ cup of dried fruit. came out amazing. I also used olive oil instead of butter.

I made some, and I put a little more stuff in (with the same amount of liquid) and I also forgot halfway for how long to bake, so I took them out after 12 minutes at 350 degrees, weren't cooked at all, lol. So now they're in again, after having cooled (before I realized my mistake), and I'm excited to see if they'll be better now. After 12 minutes the "granola sheet" was crumbly, and I'm foreseeing it'll still be like that after 10 more minutes. My solution is to let the whole thing cool, like you did, and then melt a bunch of dark chocolate and pour it all over the top so that it will coat what will end up as the bottom, as well as seeping into the actual granola, so that it might stick a bit better when it's cold. I hope it works!

I found that once you have the oats on the baking sheet, flattened - let them sit for 10 minutes before placing them in the oven -- it gives them a chewy factor.
