Using the criteria of "most enjoyable" is a subjectively bias perspective for comparison, and as always Fenton, you took that into consideration with grace and humility.Well done! Obviously, Michael's Civic "Track"zilla was modded for greater performance, and that often comes with considerable sacrifice to comfort. With such a jump in track capability, it's very impressive that it retains so much civility on the street. The same can't be said for most modded cars, or reviewers. @@CruiseControl1 yeah its splitting hairs, down to personal preference. All I can say from my own personal experience is that the ITS is truly a spectacular driving experience no matter what. I’m sure the CTR feels that way too! Acura treated me like a king when I went through the purchase process - if they keep making vehicles this way I’ll be a lifelong customer. The ITS gives me pure unadulterated joy like I’ve never experienced before. And with only a few thousand in mods you can touch almost 400hp. Pretty high for FWD, but still. The handling is unmatched in any vehicle I’ve ever drive

I don’t think I will mod my FL5 nearly as much as ‘zilla’s owner has done. Because ‘sporty street’ is my use. Don’t get me wrong, Zilla is a great example of what can be achieved with the CTR/ITS platform. A platform that was properly engineered right from the beginning.

As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate a comfortable ride and being able to have a phone conversation while on the road without yelling due to engine/exhaust noise. If I can have the more "refined" look/feel of the ITS while still maintaining the drive feel and fun factor, I'm picking that. Great video as always and looking forward to the next Track Day!

Yes but it's the same engine the designation is just because the C1 is a world engine and the C8 is NA specific. They are identical otherwise.

I actually had same issue with engine noise not permeating loud enough into the cabin of my Porsche 992 S. I pulled a panel at the rear and took out some sound deadening foam and made considerable difference Maybe check underneath to see if you have anything similar on the firewall.

I wonder if the larger turbo, that might take longer to spool up and provide power accounts for that swell of power up around 4000 rpm you mentioned. I suppose it depends on what tracks you drive, but I would think that most people would prefer a smaller, quicker turbo for squirting out of turns, rather than waiting for a big boy to get moving?

I know you're not asking me...but I think most people say, the first and most important thing to do is to change your brake fluid to a variety that can handle the high temps of repeated laps of hard braking. Then they might say, change your brake pads (track pads can be squeaky/noise on the road so if this is your daily driver, be warned). Then they'll almost certainly say, change your tires. That said, it's not necessarily a terrible idea to start with "stock" tires, because the limits of what your car can do will be lower and frankly, "lower limits" are good for anyone who is new to track driving. Of course, the tire question depends a lot on what is currently on your car and how old/worn they are. If they are due for changing anyway, there are plenty of good sporty/street tires that will do double duty very well.

How many clicks from full stiff at front and rear of your Ohlins? I’ve had PS4S on a few cars and they are extremely sensitive to tire pressure. More front and less psi rear balances everything out for me. Wonder what pressure that Civic had.

I wouldn't say the stock FL5 suspension is a 'mess'. It's a fine street car in comfort mode, R mode is definitely too stiff. It rides firm, but in a good feeling way is the best way I can put it.

Why Kumos? For me I use continental extreme contact sport for daily driving, very nice confidence when driving in the rain. I find the Michelin pilot supersports is the best in driving feel, very sharp and instant turning. Only downfall i would say the tire does get hard below 15 degree Celsius. Any positive/negatives for the Kumos tire? Thanks

Kumho V730 is much better on track than the 2 you mentioned. Better steering feel, much higher peak grip, and won't overheat as quickly. While also being cheaper. Just not as good for street driving.

I also have a catless downpipe which probably gives me a few extra ponies. The turbo on these cars would max out before the fuel runs out but they both max out around the same power. So those two things will be my next major upgrade. Look up @phearable

good racing suspension should be better on bumpy road with same spring ratio compared to your ohlins, most probably the damping is not so good... or was setted to "hard" on "clicks", good suspension should copy all the imperfection make you feeling like you drive on "pillow"

Only complaints I have is the Quality Control from Ohio plant...they sucks putting this car together...if you pay attention to the Panel Gaps, Exhaust Tip Gaps, Trunk, Hood, etc. It very disappointing! I feel American workers don't put Quality like Asians do. Don't get me wrong there are No perfect vehicles, even Made in Japan still have gaps etc. But, not as bad as coming from Ohio! Someone needs to get fired over there. I do plan to buy another Acura Integra Type S after they get things ironed out in the Ohio Plant! 😤😤😤

It’s a conservative tune not yet able to utilize all the mods because there isn’t flex fuel support from Hondata yet. Once that happens the car as is should easily hit 500whp.
