When I think of a mk1 it's how cheap it was to maintain and how everybody loved a mk1 even if you only dropped it and had a nice set of mags on and some sound. Biggest mistake was selling my own but I bought the car for R40k had the car for 5years and sold it for R40k

Stumbled upon this video randomly while browsing. Good angle with this video. Very nostalgic. I owned a couple. To me this car holds very special memories. From the irritating handles to the sticky clutch cable, anti rattle plates and the carb. mounting. But most importantly making a lot of friends, fun road trips, park off and mk1 clubs. Funny enough, I plan on trading in my daily Chevy spark with power steering and electric windows and ac for a mk1. Great video!
