Here is another way to remove those little pieces of a merged lines... Select, group and lock your new shapes right after you've create them with the shape builder tool... (group isn't really necessary, but just for clearance) Then go to the layer panel, and select all of those layer elements. Once you have locked your newly created shapes they would not be selected, you can simply check that at the element list by the lock icon... So you can easily find & remove the rest of all those artifacts ;) Thank you so much for the video!

I fallowed and did everything exactly as you stated in the vidoe; in the start when i choose the brush tool it wouldn’t write and there is a little sign by the brush tool as i move the cusrsor on the phot, no matter what colour do i choose. Would you help me please?
