I respect him for the ROTJ take tbh. I know the general opinion is that it’s the weakest, but to this day I’ve just never truly understood why. For me personally it’s ALWAYS been my favorite of the trilogy and my all time favorite SW film. I’m a sucker for conclusions and the final hour of ROTJ is literally perfect Star Wars. Especially everything on the Death Star with Luke, Vader and Palpatine

It's certainly the popular thing to say. Though I do think a lot of that has to do more with cult of personality logic that generated from the internet community. Sometimes stuff like this just re-wires your brain when you know deep down there are perfectly good reasons to disagree. @@Imnotavirgintrustme Same. Honestly I feel like the second act of TESB drags on wayy too long (especially the meteor chase), even if the Yoda interaction and training is kinda funny at times. Also I think the revelation that Vader is Luke's dad has become such a bland spoiler to people who grew up with the trilogy (of course not a mistake of the movie, but the surprise is pretty much ruined for the past 19 years now). Like the person above you said, ROTJ just feels more satisfying. Luke isn't a farm boy anymore who is thrown in cold water and is supposed to fight impossible odds just to beat them with the power of the force and plot armor. In ROTJ he just feels like his own character, not a glorified gunner with a light saber at the end. A true Jedi who can avoid a fight if possible.

I feel like Empire although good, drags a bit like you said and I tend to look forward to certain parts such as the cloud city duel. Whereas with return I kind of just enjoy the whole movie

I believe it's called "Broken Heart Syndrome" which usually happens due to to extreme emotional or physical stress like in this case when Anakin betrayed her. It's rarely lethal but it is possible.

Exactly. Then this guy compared it to Maul being chopped in half and surviving. Even though these are two COMPLETELY different situations. Maul survived because he was filled with rage and anger. He didn’t want to die. He wasn’t heartbroken by the death of someone close. Meanwhile Padme just lost the one she loved. The government she loved. She was heartbroken and didn’t see any point in living. That combined with all the stress of giving birth to twins probably caused her heart to stop working.

My hottest take ever is that attack of the clones is one of my favorite movies in the Star Wars series, overall I just like the prequels more. 1 - The action is AMAZING 2 - The cgi isn’t as bad as people say I think it’s pretty good we’re just used to amazing perfect cgi 3 - the story is perfect for what it’s meant for, it’s meant to set up the story in the originals and they do it great 4 - I love all the characters, Anakin, Obiwan, Qui-gon, Yoda, Palpitine, Darth maul in the first one, boba/jengo fett just pretty much anyone

What ppl need to understand about the Yoda Count Dooku in Ep. II is how hyped it was. Up to this point, all anyone had ever seen of Yoda was this small, sage-like character. I agree about Rogue One. Too many characters, non of them developed enough. Felicity Jones is a charisma void. The first 2 thirds are boring (which would have been fine if the characters were good) And of course, too many "hey look at this, you remember this right?" And just the fact that the movie exists to answer a "plot hole" that didn't need to be filled. The ending is cool but I struggle to care, because the characters are so boring.

Rise of Skywalker was bad because it tried everything in its power to undo The Last Jedi. At least TLJ tried to do something meaningful even if the execution was poor, TROS just wants to be ROTJ again and is full of nostalgia pandering. I think TLJ is bad, the second worst of the saga but it had ideas and themes (anybody can be a hero and your family and genes do not define who you are) and it had some great artistic shots (Holdo maneuver, Luke's death even if you disagree on the circumstance which I do, I still think they have great artistic merit), Rise of Skywalker tried nothing except to undo The Last Jedi, it's in its own tier of awful far below any other Star Wars film.

I don't get how people can put ANH and ESB above RotJ. Ep6 is my 2nd favorite with RotS being my #1 favorite, because of how deep it was and the ending. ESB is an easy 3rd place for me, or R1 in 3rd and ESB in 4th. Top 4 SW movies and that's just facts. Rebels may be more kids-oriented, but there are some brutal scenes in that show. TCW is better though and that's just a fact. TCW in S tier and Rebels in A tier for me.

See the clone wars TV show fits into two places in the Star Wars universe. If its legends its a terrible show as it retcons so much of the multimedia project & basically makes books like The thrawn trilogy not fit into cannon anymore as the clone wars they reference isn't the same as the Movie version. But if we are assuming its the Disney Cannon it is an amazing show with only a few minor problems. This allows it to be a great show. But in legends its due to Dave basically deciding he's gonna mess with all of the things people had worked hard on & just doesn't like to be told what to do. Maybe if a better person was in charge we'd have seen a show that can fit into legends. I think T-cannon should be moved below secondary sources or at least C-cannon as if we want to keep it in legends we just say its some form of Propaganda film from either the Galactic Republic, the Empire or the New Republic or maybe a bit of all of them. Like certain things make more sense like inhibitor chips basically allows the propaganda film to work in keeping the clones likable. It doesn't work the best as a empire propaganda show but for the New Republic it'd work best. It displays Jedi's as very much good & a positive thing compared to their more grey depiction in the Multi-media project. we can also explain people like the Mandalorian discrepancy & such as propaganda working best for Galactic republic era. It would explain why you'd say Ashoka didn't do the bombings but still go exiled as well if she was in reality the reason you wouldn't want people to believe the main audience voice is evil or something. Also allows all the weird stuff to be kinda cannon. We just assume the makers of the show where well making a show & ignored certain things & fell into certain stereotypes. The biggest proof of it in the show is just how similar the opening crawl is to WW2 American Propaganda movies. exiting music, A deep voiced presenter explaining what's happening & just the general aura. We also have things like the clones being too human as we know most are pretty much just soldiers not much identity but we have Arc troopers, Republic Commando's & Commanding officers (I believe it's Lieutenant, Captain & Commander. Maybe Sergeant but I am not the most familiar with Legends clone depictions my best idea is the 2003 mini-series & a few comics.) who all have enough individuality to defect, fall in love, betray the Orders of the chancellor & basically be human. What else also the fact that the show doesn't depict the war properly as we know from the Movies that the clone wars was a losing war for the republic as they barely ever won & eventually the CIS had reached Coruscant allowing the events of Episode 3 to start. With this we can assume certain battles are given to the wrong people allowing for Anakin & Obi Wan to fight Count Dooku multiple times between the events of episode 2 & 3. Also the whole General Grievous thing. I am sure their are more but its the best way to keep it cannon but also keep the Multimedia project cannon. Like depends on the way you go about it but we may assume that some stories are from an old Captain Rex & so the timing & details are blurred allowing Ashoka to be their earlier than reality & also Anakin to be a Knight before he should be. All this is just a way to allow the amazing Show to fit into a Cannon it contradicts so much that it basically replaces all the books in the old cannon.

@@Lego_Bro2 Find the video by Captain Frodo he explains it better than me. He has two or three videos on the topic all quite long but they are basically on how the show kinda just ruins the continuity of legends due to it contradicting so much stuff which messes the whole time line. But it fits fine into the Cannon timeline as it doesn't have any existing media to contradict (bar one character death from Episode II which is one of the sabrake characters.) anyway its a good show at the end but not really good at fitting in with other legends material.

Look, I know this is gonna kick alot of controversy but I watched the Last jedi when I was twelve and the only reason I started liking star wars was because of Adam Driver's performance. I did really like Kylo when I was a kid, I was proper obsessed with him. Over time as I get older, I look back and think: y'know what, I still like him, I do. But then again, TROS is what hit that nail in the coffin for me and I never wanted to watch it again.

I don't judge you if you prefer the prequels to the sequels or the spin offs to the originals. All opinions are valid................most opinions are valid..........(When it comes to art criticism, not necessarily everything) I actually agree that the prequels get to much hate, despite how low they are on my list. And I have not seen Ahsoka, or The Book of Boba Fett, mostly cus they were just to boring to finish.
