In what world is 2012 the "mid 2000s"? Mid 2000s is either 2004-06 or 2400-2600. 2012 is early 2010s. Obsidian are known as yet another previously good studio that succumbed to pushing the agenda. Yet again you fail to understand numbers, 2010 is not "miss 2000s". I'm starting to doubt you can tie your own shoes.

I played Darksiders, Binary Domain, Sunset Overdrive and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning and all of them are absolutely underrated gems that deserved better.

Got to agree in terms of warmastered 1, but Darksiders 2 honestly for me was unplayable, problems with controls and unclear objectives made it tough to continue.

I would add The Saboteur to this list. I recently played it on Steam. It was overlooked when it first released on consoles many years ago during at time GTA clones were everywhere. But The Saboteur stands out as a must play for anyone who likes the genre. It is actually more like a mix of Mafia, Hitman, and Just Cause.

I loved Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Vanquish had such great gameplay. The power slide was so cool and I remember complaining it didnt have a multiplayer and thought it could of helped the games launch and people would reply to me saying it be weird seeing people slide around the map while shooting....... well look at all the games with sliding in it from Apex, COD, Fortnite and so much more -_- Darksiders series gradually got better each game and still didn't get the recognition it deserved :(

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was a flat out masterpiece. Just a great great game. I'd like to propose that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron should have made this list too. That was crazy.

It really is criminal that Forgotten Sands didn't get the attention that it deserved. I played the PS3 version, and whilst it wasn't the best entry in the series, it felt like a return to form after the 2008 game, and the visuals and gameplay still hold well to this day. It really needed a follow-up that took place before Warrior Within

Ender Lilies was maddeningly underrated. I was surprised to hear it is getting a sequel, but it's a nice surprise. Other games are Gravity Rush, Child of Light, Mischief Makers, Remember Me, Blacktail, Solar Ash...y'know, I'm realizing that all of these games feature female characters in dark stories (well, I guess Mischief Makers and Gravity Rush aren't actually dark.)

I felt that Wet was definitely overlooked. It combined over the top 3rd person shooter with the appeal of Grindhouse cinema with the staticy film presentation and cheesy commercials. Straight action game, and it was great!

im going to highly recommend marvel midnight suns to this list. yes, i know you this is a VERY weird combination of marvel, trading card deck building, tactical rpg, and sims-like character interaction but crazy enough, it works. trust me, i was as hesitant as anyone else upon seeing the trailers but actually playing through it, its a LOT of fun and worth more than the $40 i paid for it.

Lost Odyssey: one of the writers for this game was the creator of Final Fantasy and the composer was Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy I-IX, Chrono Trogger, and Final Fantasy XIV)

You know, binary domain plays identically to vanquish. Even though they're published by Sega. The Japanese may be decent on creating third-person shooter games. But they they should be making some morality-based RPG games in the near future. Like a mass effect-inspired RPG game created by former Square-Enix and Platinum games employees.

@YesNo-yl6ws agreed I got a physical copy for my PS3 and a digital one for my Xbox. I hope it gets brought back. While not preferred, music licensing seems to be what got it removed. Get rid of the music, create some new stuff, and sell the game again. Like I said no ideal as the music does help the atmosphere. But 2K is cheap beyond basketball and anything Rockstar puts out. So we'll see.

Yeah ok, but you never once mentioned what happened to these games in reality and of course people tend to forget that. First most of them suffered from the Titanfall 2 syndrome (due to contractual obligations they had to be released into an already quality packed market) second their developers never once thought or maybe they didn’t have the means to release at a slightly discounted price to avoid fierce competition. Take Vanquish for example released the same day as Fallout New Vegas, had no online features, 4-5 hour game at a premium price. You do the maths.
