Yess indeed the 1st AIDA World Championship was in Nice in October 1996. Umberto Pelizzari' won and later he hosted the 2nd AIDA World Championship in Sardinia in 1998.

Very nice that you have chosen to share this day with us. I assume that your base training would also include pool and gym training . At what time of the year do you start diving in this location? Then I imagine that you travel out to the Competition location in advance. Just a curiosity: what depth was this dive?
