What's the point of saying that to someone and snapping in their face though? He didn't really change anything in her or accomplish anything. I guess he just wanted to feel cool? It was really cringe to me because that's not a part of his job, all he has to do is process her and move on. It's this kind of mentality that leads cops to make terrible stupid decisions to make themselves feel badass.

As a shop owner and automotive technician. You can never leave anything alive in a running car and leave it unsupervised. Someone in my neighborhood lost his dog this week because he thought that if he left it running with the A/C on, it would be ok, but the vehicle's Air Conditioning is meant to be driving down the road to provide airflow to the A/C condenser. Yes, your vehicle has cooling fans that come on to help cool the condenser and the radiator. Once the condenser gets too hot, your vehicle is going to try to protect the engine so the car will start blowing hot air in the vehicle to pull heat from the engine. The moral of the story is never leave anything in the vehicle that has a heartbeat. This was murder.

I 100% agree. We are in a heat wave currently and yesterday I had my dog and had to be in a shop for 15-20 mins. The AC in my truck is always way colder when we are driving. I was so paranoid I stayed at the door in the shop where I could see my dog and checked on her 3 times in those mins. It stayed comfortably cool for her but I was so worried it wouldn’t. I cannot imagine just walking away from my pet or child and not giving two shits for a short period, let alone any extended period of time.

That comment us stupid because that mentality enables people to make excuses for horrible actions they commit on drugs. @@racquelmarsh1121 Right. She reacted to the label of "bad mother". Not "That poor defenseless child who was completely dependent on you to protect her, love her and make her feel cherished slowly roasted to death while you looked in the windows, paced around, had several long conversations, looked in the windows took a several hour break to go back in the house, look in the windows, pace around and then leave to go on a key fob quest." She IS a bad mother. She just didn't want other people to call her one. If they were both present minded enough to drive all over the place and walk around for 5 hours and 46 minutes ..They could have looked at her, knocked on the window, seen her not respond, and smash the window letting her out. The only reason they felt comfortable leaving her in an oven with windows for 6 hours is because leaving her for 6 hours anywhere was pretty routine.

Honestly I believe it was probably real but I still am more disgusted than sorry for her. Most people do terrible things and most dissociate from their actions or feel like it’s unreal until consequences hit, many don’t realize what they’ve done and couldn’t live with themselves if they did realize. It’s the sad reality.
@Matty-vy2px

I think it starts when people push down or ignore their feelings, or dissociate to cope with trauma, and can lead to general dissociation between actions and ”nothing feels real”. Or they get caught up in patterns in the moment (especially if abuse is private) and don’t realize the reality of what they are doing.

When my son was a toddler, there was one time that I had him in his car seat and had to run by to my babysitter’s house to grab his shoes. Took me maybe two minutes inside. It was a dumb thing to do but I left him in the car while I ran in to grab them. During that time he climbed out of his car seat and hit the door lock button. I came out and couldn’t get him to unlock the door. He was climbing all over the car and laughing. And when I got his attention pantomiming for him to push the unlock button he just kept pushing it the wrong direction. I was a young mother and made a really bad decision leaving him even for a short time. I realize now that literally anything can happen. He could have been kidnapped. Anything. But you better believe that I IMMEDIATELY called 911 and the fire department came out. They were trying to use a slim Jim to open the door but it wouldn’t work. The fireman asked me if I wanted him to break a window and I was in a literal panic like “YES!! PLEASE! BREAK A WINDOW!” Because my baby boy was starting to look flushed to me. We got him out and he’s now a grown man of 26. But I still beat myself up over that. We sometimes make mistakes as parents but this woman turned a mistake into murder because of selfishness.

Did she get her degrees out of a cereal box bc the level of stupidity here doesn’t fit with someone who is apparently a professional. Though her daughter should never have been left alone in the car, I will accept they thought the air con was on when it was possibly the heater. How else do you explain their lack of urgency? What I can’t understand however, is them both driving off and leaving Christina completely alone. It makes me wonder if it was deliberate and they were trying to make it look like an accident, none of it makes sense.

I'm sure there's an element of trying to get rid of self-guilt. That child was neglected if not straight up abused for months or years and the sisters who claim to have loved her so much didn't even notice. Of course they now pretend it was just a day off for their mother and not so subtly imply she was forced to take drugs so it's not her fault anyway.

The first thing you notice is it’s like all of the energy in their body goes straight to their smile… they immediately light up the room & you can’t help but smile with them. Rest in peace, Cristina. So crazy she thinks otherwise. A life for a life. This is one of the few times a mother actually gets a full life sentence for murdering her child. You'd be surprised how light their sentences usually are. A woman near me did the exact same thing. Baby in car while she was inside doing drugs. The buckle was so hot it burned her skin. She got like 15 years, then got it appealed to like 8 because they said the judge was too "personal" with her final statement because she said something insulting like "I have to do this for the baby girl you killed and burned." Now with parole she will realistically do like 3-5 years. If it wasn't for the camera Rita would have probably never been sentenced more than 10 years.

Literally their only defense is that "our mom treated US very well so idk" when even the child being disabled would mean that she would be treated different than her siblings. Disabled children require more attention and care than able bodied ones. So it's possible some abuse and neglect was going on for awhile in the home without them knowing about it if the two other girls didn't live there or were at school allll day.

SO about that daughter Ashley, she left her 9 month old and 7 year old in the car. Apple dont fall too far from the tree. "Woman arrested for leaving kids in car, a week after mother charged with murder for leaving girl in car, Investigators have arrested a woman for leaving two kids in a car, a week after authorities say the woman’s mother was arrested on murder charges for deliberately leaving a disabled child in a vehicle. Ashley Pangalangan, 30, was charged with unlawful conduct of a minor, according to Walterboro Police Lt. Amye Stivender. Police responded Monday to the Walmart in the 2100 block of Bells Highway for a report of a baby crying in an unattended vehicle that was running with the windows up, an incident report states. The responding officer saw two small children in the back seat of a blue Suzuki with a busted out driver’s side rear seat window covered with plastic. One of the children, a 7-year-old girl, was in the car with her nine-month-old sister, the report states. The 7-year-old unlocked the door and told police their mother was inside the store shopping. The incident report states central dispatch confirmed the outside temperature was 91 degrees with a heat index of 97. “It was also noted that even though the air conditioner was on, the vehicle was blowing warm air,” the report states. The report states that after approximately 15 minutes, Pangalangan was spotted coming out of the store with merchandise and went to her vehicle and then came over to the officers and asked about her children. She told police she was only inside the store for approximately five minutes, however officers had been on the scene for approximately 15 minutes at the time, the report states."

They maintain this "anti-drug" facade when it's obvious to everyone but those close to them they are now on drugs. Most people are susceptible to this, not wanting to believe their lover cheated, they're mother is on drugs, their child is a monster, etc. That's why they say the ones that hurt us most are those closest to us, cause often people don't want to see the truth till it's too late.

They’re unable to reconcile what their mother had become later in life due to drug use, with the loving mother that raised them. When they look at her they still see the doting mother they grew up with, and they can’t admit to themselves that she became someone who could do something so evil. It’s a defense mechanism to protect themselves and their memories of her.

If my child is stuck in a car for 10 mins or less, windows are being broken and 911 instantly. I couldnt imagine waiting even that. Those checks come off as, "is she dead yet? No. Ok back to waiting." Such sick 'people'. RIP poor little girl

It’s so beyond sick. I left the keys in the car and locked my four year old little brother in the vehicle on accident. I was 17yrs old and smashed a rake through the back windshield. I live in Florida, it was easily 100 degrees, he couldn’t have been in the car more than five minutes and was already drenched in sweat. The excuse that they didn’t want to break the windows is ridiculous, I promise absolutely no one cared about the window they were all more concerned that I had gotten him out safely.

Yep! They even sat on the swing for at least half an hour, and then took another ~50 minutes to drive for the key and back! That was AFTER discovering the key had been locked in the car❗️😵 Ie., ~3.5 hours after putting her there in the first place! 🤯🚨🫢🫢🫢 I think they were definitely waiting for her to be gone for sure. Things could be not as accidental and innocent, as they made them to look, after all... 🤔

Here's something else to consider although that child was non-verbal there's a good chance she understood what was being said. My son has similar conditions yet understands a lot of what is being said. So I can't imagine how scared she would have been hearing them talk like that. Gives me chills.

Being that I have a non verbal, very brain damaged (from birth), type 1 diabetic, epileptic sister that my mom literally devoted care to every day of her life until our mom passed away in 2016….and then I took over as my sisters guardian and her 24/7 daily/nightly care (for 7 years, until I got so sick I ended up in the hospital myself; she is now in a group home) I feel I can comment on this as I KNOW what having a sibling like this entails. Its damn hard work. And I had my own family & my kids were still young at the time I became my sisters guardian. And I still care for her, just not on a daily level as I used to as she’s in her group home now and has nurses caring for her around the clock. I’m still very involved with her. With that being said, there is ZERO excuse I can find for this mother to not be held accountable for her daughter’s death. Accident or not. I don’t necessarily feel she did it on purpose, but with a child like that, they are like babies. You have to think about them ALWAYS, BEFORE you think about yourself. Period. I think it’s quite clear her daughter was neglected A LOT. The neglect finally caught up with her.

I'm the father of a severely disabled child. My Annalise has lissencephaly. She is 100% dependent on other people to take care of her. It's hard. I wouldn't wish our lifestyle on anyone. I take care of her with a smile on my face and find time to cry when I'm alone. Because I'm her father and I LOVE her. I understand the stress. I understand the therapies, the seizures, the hospital stays and the "what if's". What this woman did is DISGUSTING. When I see this beautiful little girl, I think of my Anna. How anyone could ever hurt her, let alone her own mother is completely beyond me. It angers me. Her actions are beyond my comprehension. Despicable!

I was wondering the same thing. If she lived there and witnessed all she claims then why did she not do anything about it? Also the fact she was smiling the whole time she was stating the horrible abuse this little girl endured was very disturbing. I could not talk about a deceased child going through all that without being in tears let alone smiling.
