So when it comes to laundry, i've found the most helpful thing is to not have dirty clothes hampers. Dirty laundry goes directly into the washing machine (with the exeption of delicates of course). Once it's full, the load gets washed right away so you always only have one hamper of clothes to put away at a time as long as you don't let it pile up. that way you arent having to do laundry every day, but you also don't have any laundry laying around. It makes it so dirty laundry can't pile up. It works for my adhd brain.

I'd love to see a toddler snack haul/snack ideas video - I'm constantly feeling like I'm running out of ideas for what snacks to make and feed my 2.5 year old, so I love seeing what others are doing.

Google “Morton’s Grove Toddler Snacks” for some helpful whole food snack inspiration! It’s given me some completely different, simple healthy ideas for my kids recently.

I would be down for an independent or indie release! I get so many advertisements for books and I'm so easily influenced, you could easily market it yourself with your experience in social media. Can't wait to read your book!

Hey girlie, be careful with the expired makeup! I just saw a girl on TikTok who got a really bad staph infection in her eyes from expired eyeshadow. 😳 Made me want to throw out all my makeup and start fresh lol

I’m not a huge fan of one load a day, because some days my son just needs more one on one time and it’s impossible to get a load in. Instead I try to prioritize a load every other day. And if I have the capacity to do more than one load in a day I do. That’s been working for us! I do have a dedicated day I wash towels because I always seem to overlook them (I do that on a weekend morning when I have extra hands to occupy my son if needed).

I tried the once a day load method and it didn't work for us. Sometimes we just didn't have a full load of laundry and it felt wasteful. I switched to 1 laundry basket for the whole house and if there is a full basket then we wash. I put the load in to wash in the morning, set a timer to switch it to the dryer and then fold it right before bed. I put towels and sheets on their own schedule outside that.

We potty trained my son at 20 months! We did a three day approach which really was great. He had occasional accidents for the next few weeks, but we stayed the course. I would say he has about 1-2 accidents a month after that until he was closer to three but no accidents after 3 years old!

The one load a day thing really works for laundry... Especially as you probably have a dryer... I don't, so it still takes me a bit longer... But I like to fold it straight into the drawers they're supposed to go in. Live your vlogs, Megan!

We had an at home bounce house that we could also use with water md it was the best thing ever! Only negative was the hassle of drying it out and putting it away after we were done, but mostly because we don’t have a fenced yard to leave it out in. I think it’s a great idea for a combined bday present.

We started potty training my son around that age, because his teacher at school was thinking he was ready. We figured that since they were willing to work on it at school, we were willing too! It took a couple months of accidents, but he’s now fully potty trained! Worth it in my opinion, but it will likely not be as quick as the three day method.

Rowan might not be needing naps soon, my kids were 2.5/3 when they stopped with naps, just the occasional car ride or catch up one if super busy. I do my washing on a routine that suits us. Towels, kids x2 and mine on mon/tues. More towels and sheets on Thurs/ Fri and husband does his on Saturday. I put mondays away before Friday and Sunday do the Friday stuff. I dont let it pile up so it's not overwhelming. Girls generally are easier to toilet train, if she's asking go with it!

Potty training: we potty trained our daughter at 16 months and she got it so fast! She was using the potty since like 9 months here and there. I’m from Eastern Europe and it’s very common for toddlers to be trained early (around 1) all of my siblings were fully potty trained by 1, as well as my husband and his 4 brothers 😅

Also no advice on the literary agent stuff, but you are so inspiring to pick up creative pursuits again while you are doing so much! I have been struggling with being creatively dry for the last like... 4 years? And don't feel like I have the right outlet. Seeing you thrive and be so excited about your book is amazing!!

Also my mom always used to make her own playdough for us. Apparently it's a rather easy recipe - though it does require cooking if I recall so maybe not ideal for the craft with the kiddos portion. But I always liked it! Cheap ingredients, safe if it does make it into the mouth, and lasts a while!

Hey Megan! Haven’t tuned in in a while and I found your channel because of your newborn videos with Rowan. I guess I just wanted to comment because maybe my perspective will give you some peace of mind. I used to tune In a lot when I was on mat leave because I had a new born too. Personally I wasn’t watching to see the babies, it was because during the pandemic I didn’t have irl mom friends yet and I wanted to connect with someone in the same season of life as me and get inspiration and advice from mothers my age. But since going back to work and school Im in a different season and I don’t find myself watching homesteading/ vlog content on KZbin as often. So I just wanted to reassure you that I’m sure there could be an array of factors for why your views may have dipped as your kids have grown and I’m also sure it’s not personal. Honour your current season and keep sharing what you love filming your hobbies and as we all move forward the people who align with that season and those interests will watch :) and the people who have to tune out are still rooting for you from afar

My son showed signs of being ready for the potty around 20 months. At age of 22 months we started with the 3 day method. It was absolute success from the very first day. It is a mistake to push the kid, but also it is a mistake to miss the right moment, cause after that they got too used to the diaper. If she is ready, allow her to try. She might surprise you

Girls are way easier to potty train, my firstborn was 18 months and she would climb up onto the regular toilet with her little potty seat with a sippy cup in hand and just do her business lol my son was another story, it was a struggle.
