Sanjana I am from Uganda and Kenya too. I always searching for recipes which we were making over there. Specially kachori we never get it like we use to do in E. Africa. All the recipes these days are kachori s like puri and the stuffing is so dry and little. I went through whole YT but can’t get anywhere like we use to do but I discover your YT. My mum was excellent cook and now diet and never occurs to write a recipe. I am forgetting day by day her cooking. 😒 thanks for your fatherhood teach you all traditional E. Africa food please put more old recipes of Africa. I live in London and there is shops in Leicester and Wembley who established from Kenya since 70s. I usually buy from there but I would like to do at home and want to learn perfect method. Thanks for your hard work 😓🙏

Sanjana I’m making the kachori but I don’t understand the water measurements. 275 gm. Isn’t liquid supposed to be in cups or millilitres.
@sanjana.feasts3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Water weight is equal to liquid units. So 1g water = 1ml water. Therefore, you’d need 275ml water for this recipe.

What can we use in place of fresh mango? Is amchur powder ok?
@sanjana.feasts4 жыл бұрын
Hi. For this we need the bulk of fresh fruit so amchur wouldn't be the best option. I'd recommend raw green papaya or cooking apples.
