For so many years I tried to keep a spotless house and beautiful garden and lawn...the speed of life and growing children happens in the blink of a eye. Thanks for showing us real Mama life ..its okay to be perfectly imperfect in all the crazy imperfect minutes that's when the best memories are made 💝🌞🙏🕊

I am always so much in awe of your versatility!! I am a city girl and I have no desire at all to homestead or farm - but I LOVE watching you and learning about the process. You are so inspiring with your vast knowledge of nearly everything. I love your real life approach - I don’t feel the need to be perfect. Thank you for sharing your world.

It's these kinds of videos that make me take a step back and say 'I'm not soening my entire weekend cleaning this house, I'll get to it later'. So hard for me as I'm use spending my entire Saturday deep cleaning my house every single week and then regretting missing out on my weekend come Sunday night.

Tin foil packet meals are a fun and simple meal that kids can help with, and make their own. Also baked potatoes on the fire, and do a baked potato bar. Hobo stew is another good one that kids can help with, because you put whatever you like in it. Something that is made where I grew up, was something called “Hunky Turkey”. Cook onions and peppers in a foil packet, or on a flat top grill, slice tomatoes. Loaves of good crusty bread that’s crusty outside and soft inside, and large pieces of fatty jowl bacon that you can spear and hold over a fire. Once it starts to render, let it drip onto your bread, and top with the tomatoes, peppers, and onions. I grew up in Toledo Ohio, and there is an ethnic neighborhood that used to be exclusively Hungarian, ( Think Tony Packo’s restaurant, Jamie Farr, &MASH), this was a favorite at their festivals, and as a cookout/camping staple.

Perhaps use the area where the bar stools are for shelves. That would give you the needed storage space and could be temporary too. You could not sit at the counter anymore but it’s not a useable space at the moment.
