i think the main problem i have with this is the concept of keeping product just because, and not really donating to those in need. donating dog food is great and all, but what do you need 30 cans of corn for? what do you need 50 bottles of similac for when your kids are grown? i really wish more couponing resources went to poor people that actually need it rather than middle class organized hoarders.

Agreed. Although some of the odd items/“miscellaneous” may have been purchased for a special sale aka buy 1 liter root beer get free ice cream. But I’ve also heard that coupon ppl will try to make a mini store inside their homes and breakdown if somethings missing 😬

What makes you think middle class people don't need to coupon and stock up on items? Middle class people have financial struggles, too. Sure these ladies DO go overboard, but couponing is how a lot of them stay in the middle class thanks to the money it saves them. My parents never made a lot of money but their smart financial decisions kept us above the poverty line, even when my sister was in the hospital for a month. Middle class isn't just about how much money you make, but also about your financial literacy. That's why it's called middle class; depending on the family, they are either teetering towards having so much money that it doesn't matter how they use it, or they need to be extremely careful in their decisions to avoid outright poverty.

@@purelysmetalnightcore no offence but by some definitions, if you're one disaster away from poverty, you're not really middle class. But your parents did well to provide for you. Hats off to them and their hard work.

And I got like $20 back. Just wasnt' worth my time that I was putting in every week. I can't imagine how long it takes to do all this shit, just for the high of saving money that you probs wouldn't have even spent in the first place. Also if they know they need that many things you think they'd ask for cases of it in the back instead of forcing the cashiers to manually scan each individual item, and wipe their shelves clean. Again like you said it's great when they donate but majority of this show is middle class families hoarding this shit...and for waht???
