The Mitra Girl since 1998 no she broke free and opened the door but at the last moment her husband (Mr. white) wished something not specified but believed to be his son dead again or to leave. She opened the door and a terrible gust of wind came in and she shrieked a blood curdling scream and Mr. White from on the stairs looking down saw her and ran down the stairs passed her into the street where the street light was flickering. Some believe the wife fell over and died.

Personally, I wish she had opened the door. To build the tension up like that and then just let it drop to the floor was a real let-down. The image of the bloodied, living corpse would have been a fitting climax that it really felt like they were building towards

It was good, but I think that they miss the best part of the story, the Climax was when the knocking starts and that uncertain of what was outside was precisely what give it that special touch that makes it so good; Great movie in general tho

The paw would likely screw that up..since your trying to cheat..Say like making you wait 10 years for your wish to happen..So you would be dead long before you got to 1000 wishes..You didnt say ; you wanted to live a 1000 years...your bad...So the first wish should always be , you want to live like 1000 years..Not forever , since you don't know what condition your body might be in ..so you might want to die eventally..

This was a little different from the book I read for English and we didn't understand why he wouldn't want his son back. The wife's reaction when the man said they'll earn 200 pounds (t pay for the house rent) in compensation while the father fainted. Maybe he didn't want his son back because the fact he was dead for 10 days and before he died, he would be covered in blood, have deep wounds and have a damaged body (tissues , muscles and veins cut, etc.) from the machine accident. He said he only recognized him from his clothes and he wouldn't have come back to life the same son he know and love. The story didn't get us a big clue on "why?".

He wouldn’t want his son back, beacause of Multilple reasons. One: he said in exact quote “It’s foolish and Wicked” Two: it becomes pretty obvious that he means that it’s a disgrace to the dead Three: I’m thinking it as when she opens the door, in the movie, I think it’s Mr. White’s imagination of what might be on the other side of the door. But in the story, he wished his son to be dead again. Though that is not said in the origional, that’s the best we can make out of that third wish. Because in the story, Mrs. White opens the door to an empty street Uwu

If he was too terrible for you to see then, how now?”" The son's body was so mangled in the factory accident that he was only recognizable from his clothes. The father was the one who saw the body, the mother didnt. So if he was already so horrifically mutilated in the accident, let alone after 10 days buried The father seeing the son's body is also what makes him find the paw to be so particularly evil and wicked. He's seen just how twisted it could get to grant a wish, his wife doesnt understand as well how far it'd go

For the third wish they could have wished their son was just like he was , before the accident..Instead of wishing him dead again...Don't see why they could not have done that. Should have worked to make their son fine..and have a happy ending..But that would ruin the moral of the story i guess. They probably should have said that for the 2nd wish. instead of wishing that he was just alive again.
