5:01 It may just be the lighting from my phone, but it seems like when the paper is pulled up, the shade of the paint is different than the shade of it on the printing plate. The paint looks a little darker on the white paper than the paint on the printing plate. If anything, I would have thought it would be slightly lighter than the paint from the plate because there would be less paint transfered than what was originally on the plate. At any rate, this is an fascinating process. I think my daughter and I are going to have some fun this weekend! Lol 🙂

I see what you mean. I think it looks lighter on the plate because there is only a thin layer left after you lift the print and you're see the white plate showing through. I hope you try the technique with your daughter. Even if prints don't turn out perfect there is so much to learn in this process. I have always loved the look of the prints and like to use them in collages. Have fun.

@@LindaCelestian Yes, I watched your other videos using this process. The prints are very beautiful! And that makes sense about there being less paint left on the plate with more white showing through. The plate was a lighter white than the paper, too, which I hadn't realized until now.
