Rosie is beautiful! Love your apartment set up and the toys for the cats! They all are so happy! Gives me some ideas for my apartment and two cats. She tolerates the brushing of her teeth well too. Awesome video!

Your channel is an absolute godsend for me. I also live in an apartment and am adopting a Scottish shorthair next year, and your tips have been so helpful given the limited space I have. This video is especially exciting since I hope to see my kitty's personality develop. I wonder if they'll be like your gorgeous Rosie. Subscribed!

I have 2 scottish folds and I think they prefer interactive toys because they want to interact with their owners.

I have a Scottish manx and the first 3 years we moved often from one tiny apt to the next. He did just fine in a small apt. I did leash train him so I could take him on a walk every day. But I think he would've been fine without the walk if I just made sure he had plenty of toys.

I’m super late but what was it like introducing each one? We have 3 currently all different breeds and we are looking at a Scottish straight or a Russian blue so it’s cool to see you have both!

Hi, We are planning to have a Scottish straight but I worried if Straights have the same helath problems with Scottish Folds. Do you have any advice?

You pretty much explained exactly what my British shorthair is like. And i mean exactly.

Thanks for your comment! I heard these two breeds are actually very similar to each other!

Actually all Scottish Folds are British Shorthairs but not all Brits are Scottish Folds. Scottish Folds (& straights) are Brits with a genetic “defect”. You can only breed a Fold to a Brit, never to another Fold.

Hahhaha I shaved her back in the day because she had problems managing all her hair (hairballs and just general hygiene), even with regular grooming from me. Nowadays, it doesn't seem like it's much of a problem anymore so I let her hair grow :)! Thanks for your comment!

Can scottish straights go outside?
@johnthorsen11682 жыл бұрын
Most people will say no cat should go outside but I think this is not absolute. First it depends on where you live. I live by a pond with alligators for instance. Streets and wildlife can be dangerous. Second, what color pattern is the cat? A tabby, calico, or otherwise typical domestic cat look might be ok but a chinchilla or exotic look will be prone to theft. These cats are expensive so if you want an outdoor cat you might want to find a moggie (not purebred) as they are less likely to be stolen and generally heathier than purebreds. My Scottish Straight wa $2100. He's staying inside LOL.
