Yep ! He's gone off the complete deep end. And he had at least two chances to prevent it, the most notiçable being Polyphemus and how he handled him. It's his fault above all he ended this way. Is he even worthy of home at this point ? Before your answer, consider this. What if he turns Telemachus into him ?

Speaking of monster, someone theorized Hector's son survived, since he isn't heard crying in the chorus. But how does not hearing the baby prove he's alive ? No one could survive that fall. Could they be suggesting...divine intervention ?

@@JabamiLain this song most likely confirms Odysseus' choice of killing Hector's son (if i have to drop ANOTHER infant from a wall), and i highly doubt an infant would survive the fall and since divine intervention is what got the baby killed in the first place, i doubt the gods would save him. that would just be insanely cruel: "So you know how we made you kill that child way back in the beginning? Yeah he didn't actually die, all the pain you've went through because of it was completely for nothing."

I think the idea is odysseus is a monster from the start, but for the ones who try to protect, as poseídon says "you are the worst good because you are even great... You let him live and say your name" so if he kill the cyclops then poseídon dont drawn his fleet, therefore the true héro is Just a monster for everyone who is not under his protection

Not gonna lie I wasn't expecting this one from you, or anything from Underworld really. Because all of your previous animatics are so soft and colorful. So imagine my surprise when I saw this recommended to me. First off: How the heck did you push this out so fast the saga was literally posted two days ago. Madlad. Second: Your take with this is really nice. I love your character designs and some of the creative liberties you took. Like how you give Odysseus an almost physical transformation rather than just a mental one. He's literally becoming a monster here. And his expression during the "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves" line gave me chills. I'm bad at conclusions so I'll just end this with a big ol' Great Job! And keep up the good work 👍

Considering the fact that he didn't hesitate to throw an infant off a cliff due to a prophecy from the gods and being arrogant enough to tell the Cyclops that he made blind his true name as he and his men were leaving and stealing his sheep, which put him on Poseidon the god of the seas bad side; yeah he deserves everything he got. He's a horrible Captain who got all of his men killed. Jason from the Argonauts may have been a bad husband to Madea after their main voyage, but at least he kept everyone of his crew alive. Also Odysseus the king of a coastal Island, which is surrounded by the Sea. His people won't be able to fish for food because their king piss off the god of the sea. He's practically condemned his people to starve. Not even Athena, his patron goddess, would be able to help him out here. Also I highly doubt he financially compensated any of the wives and families of his fallen soldiers who went to battle with him. Yeah, he really deserved everything he got.

@@allisondempsey982 "He didn't hesitate to throw an infant off a cliff" ==> In the Musical (Because I don't really know if this is as much the case in the Odyssey) he hesitate a long time. He litteraly has an entire song about that lmao. For the Cyclop, it was definitely hubris, and he shouldn't had done this, but you also need to see his point of view. How could he know that Polyphemus was the son of Poseidon? And he definitely couldn't kill him, or he would have lost way more soldiers. "He's an horrible captain who got all of his men killed" ==> For the cyclop how is it his fault? Was he supposed to beat Polyphemus in 1v1. For Poseidon, in the end, he didn't know it was his son. How could he? He let hubris take the better of himself, yes. Once again, why do you put it like he INTENTIONNALY provoked Poseidon lol

Perfect example of being nice and good suffered more then the one who did the wrong with pleasure. People who has pure heart and tried to do the good thing being stab from behind by his on goods deeds. Some people has limits to hold the pain in him/her untill he finally broke down and turn into the most what they hate, a monster, an evil soul who dosent care about mercy anymore. So this proof that some villain wasn't born, they were made by people around and by hes own mercy on others.

This is SO GOOD. I loved how at the end Odysseus’ eyes are two different colors. I don’t know if it was an intentional callback to the original epics, but it was genius regardless! Especially since in the epics Odysseus was considered wise due to his unique eyesight- aka his heterochromia. So Odysses’ eyes becoming gradually more different is beautiful symbolism for him becoming wiser- for him gaining that “unique eyesight.” Excellent job!!
